22 Growing Scottish 4

"Besides, I never said I wouldn't give you it," Azazel pointed out, "I'm actually curious to see how things will turn out. Though, I've got no idea where you can find Absorption Line right now which sucks."

"We already found that and reclaimed the fragment in it." Yarden waved him off, pointing his finger to the side and firing an Absorption Line rope off to the side before retracting it.

"Huh," Azazel blinked before grinning widely, "Well now, how interesting is this? I can't wait to see how you turn out with all four main fragments of Vritra." as he finished, the Grigori leader lifted his hand, a teleportation circle forming into existence in his hand, before out of it, dropped a pair of ebony black armoured boots.

So Shadow Prison's standard appearance was that of a pair of armoured boots huh? Cool.

"Speaking of my lesser fragments," Vrita spoke up, "What happened to them? I can still sense them, but none really know much of me beyond my four main abilities being made into separate Sacred Gears."

"Oh them? They're powering a bunch of Twice Critical, pops couldn't extract any abilities out of em' so he just used them to work as the battery sources for a bunch of Twice Critical gears." Azazel revealed.

Huh. Well, that kind of explained why they were talked about as dragon gears as well.

"They're all powered by dragon souls, so it's kinda hard to tell what's what, but your fragments are pretty noticeable," Azazel continued, "I've got like thirty Twice Critical in my collection, but only five or so of them have fragments of yours, I was actually gonna see if I could combine them to create another main Vritra gear like Blaze Black Flare, Shadow Prison, Delete Field and Absorption Line, but ya want them, you can have them, I'm quite interested to see how powerful this partner of yours can get the more whole you become."

And as if to punctuate his statement, he held his hand out, teleportation circle still floating in the air above it, and a moment later, there was a series of metallic clanks as five open fisted ebony black gauntlets embedded with purple gems and each with two golden spikes jutting from the wrists fell out into a pile on the ground.

Yarden found it hard not to laugh at the way he just casually dumped five sacred gears on the ground like trash. Granted, Twice Critical were mocked as weak Sacred Gears, but the ability to double all the abilities and power of their wielder was a fearsome ability in the actual strong.

Like imagine if he could double his strength? Even a single time boost would be terrifying to most.

"You're being awfully generous." the teen pointed out.

"Hey, you've got your crazy patriot stuff going on, I've got my own hobbies bro," Azazel pointed out right back, "Besides, they're pretty rigid in design and I generally just give em out to some of my subordinates that have impressed me."

Well he had a point, and Azazel's hobby was his utter obsession with Sacred Gears. With all he did for Issei, it made sense to Yarden why he'd be this generous, it was little to him if he could see the evolution of Sacred Gears as powerful as Vritra's.

Honestly, Yarden thought he could practically read his mind. The proper Sacred Gear of a full Dragon King? Would that not be a clear Longinus?

"Hmm, a question occurs," Vritra spoke up once more breaking him from his thoughts, "How exactly do these work? Lesser as they may be, Boost is Ddraig's innate power, even I could not copy it, as skilled as he was, I doubt Yahweh could mass produce it."

"Oh yeah, that'd be totally impossible normally," Azazel nodded in agreement, "The thing is, pops pretty much forged them using the Red Dragon Emperors corpse, or what was left of it at least, so they have just enough to them to use Boost, though they're still vastly inferior to the Boosted Gear."

Well now, that was pretty metal wasn't it? Stuffed Ddraig's soul in one gauntlet to make a longinus, then mass produced a bunch of inferior copies by dismembering his corpse.

A pretty Scottish thing to do really.

"Yahweh, ruthless as always." Vritra snorted, painting a much different light to God than most of his believers.

"Yep, pops is sure lucky he had such good PR guys man," Azazel laughed. When he calmed down a bit, he held up the Shadow Prison boots to him, "So, want my help to implant these in you? It'll take a while and I'll need to get some of my tools, but I've literally got nothing better to do tonight."

"No, that's fine, I can handle it," Vritra denied his help, and a second later, without Yarden's input, five Absorption Lines erupted from his gauntlet hands fingers and wrapped around the pile of Twice Critical, "It's a simple matter with them containing my fragments."

A second later, they were tugged back towards him and Yarden blinked as all five Twice Critical phased out of reality and inside his body, and he felt a shuddering sensation like earlier run through his body.

"…Yikes." Azazel's eyes widened.

A moment later, Vritra manipulated the Absorption Line again when the original five were cut off, and a single thick blue rope of energy launched out and wrapped around the Shadow Prison boots and tugged them out of his hand.

Azazel yelped in surprise as it happened as they were yanked through the air towards Yarden and like the Twice Critical before it, phased into his very being and soul and forced a shuddering sensation to run through his body.

"Yes….YES!!!" a victorious glee resounded in Vritra's voice, "I really should thank Yahweh in the future if we ever do meet again, what is a few hundred years of being unconscious to this power increase!"

And then Vritra fell silent and just kind of retreated from Yarden's mind for the moment to consolidate what he'd just obtained, leaving Azazel and Yarden to just stand there in an uncomfortable silence.

"…I suppose it'll take some time for you to integrate them," Azazel coughed to clear the awkward silence after a near minute of the pair just staring at each other, "You'll keep me in the loop right? Come on new little brother of mine, I wanna see what kind of crazy Balance Breaker you get from all that."

"Considering with the peace talks going on, I'm sure I'll be seeing you quite a bit." Yarden shrugged.

"Huh, you know about those then?" Azazel tilted his head in surprise before laughing heartedly, "Guess being the queen of the Leviathan isn't for show then. I was wondering why a devil, despite your oddness wasn't getting all huffy about me being here."

Honestly, Yarden just didn't care as long as he wasn't causing problems for him.

"Hey, I've got an idea!" Azazel suddenly grinned, "How about we hit up a strip club together, I know this amazing one, you can tell me how their tits compare to Scottish ladies and get some drinks and christen this new brotherhood of ours?"

"I'm fifteen." Yarden pointed out, though he wasn't against it at all.

"And, do you honestly care?" Azazel raised an eyebrow.

"Nope," the Scottish teen shrugged. And he could do with getting some pussy right about now, he doubted Azazel would take him to any crappy place where they weren't up for it. He paused just as he was about to accept though and grimaced, "Sorry, rain check, that thing I wanted to take care of just sprung up."

Just a split moment ago, he felt Irina's distinct holy power signature abruptly disappear, despite him sensing that she was not in distress or agitation. Which meant, she had been hidden by a barrier.

"Oh, that's why you're in town, huh?" Azazel mused before shrugging, "Well, have at it little brother, I'm sure you can handle that annoyance of mine, though I'll take a cell number first." he laughed good naturedly, rubbing the back of his head.

"Fair enough." Yarden replied, and did just that, he rattled off the numbers of his mobile before letting his wings back out and taking off into the air towards where he felt Irina's power disappear, leaving Azazel behind.
