15 The Stray

'So that was what this unique energy was…'

It sure was different from anything Azaroth had ever sensed before and he had to admit, Grayfia had confirmed his suspicions.

If this was a servant that defected from its master- Then of course it was a Stray. Strays were literally devils that left their master to fulfill their own desires.

"Azaroth, get behind me," Grayfia said but Azaroth merely chuckled.

"Even though this is a new kind of energy which is very different from what I'm used to, I am clearly sure I should be able to defeat this servant," Azaroth said with bustling confidence as he walked forward, the servant's aura was getting closer and making him a bit anxious but Azaroth was confident in facing off and defeating his opponent with relative ease.

Although he would have liked to pull out the Monster Slayer and engage in an all-out physical battle- Grayfia was behind him and he didn't want to be questioned on how the fuck he got the Monster Slayer in the first place or where he pulled it out from.

The Servant appeared shortly after, a tall woman obscured in a huge cloak which did well to hide her face… Azaroth wasn't scared though.

'STRAY DEVIL'

If it was a red name, that would have meant that the Servant was actually on par with him but the fact that it was orange meant it was relatively weaker than him… he almost scoffed.

Azaroth was expecting a challenge, surely a devil with years of experience might be on match with him but he never really expected her to be actually weaker than him.

'That's just why Sung Jin-Woo's leveling system is Overpowered,' Azaroth thought.

In a short amount of time, Azaroth had grown strong and there was more room for improvement- As his abilities implied, he would grow stronger infinitely since there was no limit to the amount of levels he could transcend.

Azaroth was silent, his eyes letting loose a vibrant glow as murderous intent pulsated through the battlefield. The stray took a step backward.

"You're actually weaker than I expected," Azaroth said while inwardly compressing his POD from within and shooting it forward like a missile, a spinning orb of POD gathering momentum with each spin shot through the air and threatened to consume the servant.

A magical circle appeared below the Servant as she moved to the right and dodged the attack, but much to her surprise, with a snap of Azaroth's fingers- the ball of POD detonated pushing her forward, closer to Azaroth.

As she neared Azaroth's figure, his murderous intent increased in quality- As her eyes fixated on Azaroth, her entire body trembled but she got her act together.

With multiple magic circles appearing around her, chains made of magical energy tore forward and Grayfia wanted to intervene.

These chains were created from Dark magic which was quite a rare affinity that only few devils were able to possess,,, Azaroth quickly analyzed the situation before coating the chains with his Haki. There was pervading silence as the chains were stopped in their path.

"What!" Azaroth heard the stray cry out but he wasn't done yet, he released his POD upon the chains and they exploded leaving destruction in their wake.

Grayfia's eyes widened as Azaroth was dealing with an experienced Stray… without moving from his position. He hadn't actually moved since and none of her attacks have been touching him.

'Is this how strong he grew?' Grayfia thought.

She was aware that Azaroth used to be very lazy in the past and found solace in the depths of his room, isolated himself from his family- Why? Because of his weakness, because he was Rias's twin… because he was born with abnormally low levels of magic.

But that all changed when Azaroth actually decided to train, it had shocked her at first but now his training was paying off and Grayfia couldn't help but be proud.

'But I didn't know he exuded this amount of ruthlessness neither bloodlust,' Grayfia thought.

She could feel Azaroth's bloodlust, it was tangible and perceptible but it wasn't directed toward her- but rather toward the Stray devil he was facing.

Azaroth decided to actually move, if he continued acting lazy- He might spend more time than needed in dealing with such a simple chore. As he bent over his knees and gathered energy within his feet, the ground began cracking under the force and it was in that moment that Azaroth shot forward like a rocket, his speed going beyond even Grayfia's expectations.

He closed the distance between himself and the Stray within moments and the Stray chose to attack with a Fire spell, a fireball moving right to his face but he wasn't bothered by it- Azaroth raised his right hand and flicked it away much to the Stray's surprise and golden sparks of lightning surrounded his left hand.

A huge golden bolt of lightning shot out of Azaroth's fist, covering the stray within seconds and pushing her into the sky. The stray screamed out as her body got constantly ripped under the intense force of the Bolts of Truth, showing her how determined Azaroth's soul was.

But Azaroth wasn't done yet, as the power of the lightning started diminishing- he wrapped the Stray in a ball of Haki.

'I think I've seen this move in an anime before,' Azaroth thought and snapped his fingers. Usually, Azaroth would utilize the power of Haki for containment and then use his POD to destroy from the outside, wiping everything out including the Haki but now he sparked the POD within the sphere of Haki.

The sky lit up in a blazing crimson explosion, Azaroth and Grayfia could see the stray free-falling from the sky… her body was lifeless and her cloak had long-since been destroyed, the only little parts of it sticking onto her body.

Azaroth looked at the fallen figure in disdain, betraying your master was a sin- But not every master is correct, Deldora was a great example of a useless master but Azaroth had only attacked her since she held hostile intentions to Grayfia, and also looked down on him.

Although he couldn't see her facial expression, Azaroth was sure she felt remorseful but it was already too late… She started disintegrating slowly and by the time she reached the ground, she had turned into dust which was picked by the wind.

"That was an astounding battle," Grayfia said.

Azaroth's murderous intent died down and Grayfia was truly surprised by Azaroth's strength, it was something she had never expected- She hadn't actually expected it to grow this much.

"Grayfia, do you think I'll be a great master?" Azaroth asked as he folded his hands.

"Yes Azaroth, you'll be a great master, I believe in you," Grayfia said as she hugged Azaroth, pushing his face into the breasts that he so adored.
