7 New Training

Azaroth appeared in the Library room again, his eyes going wide momentarily as he appeared. There was a bit of a tingling sensation on his shoulder but it was gone.

"Must have been Dungeon teleporting stuff," Azaroth surmised and then proceeded to go to his chair, the dungeon gate faded out of existence behind him and a small sigh escaped from his lips, the battle although it hadn't been too exhausting for his current abilities had taken a toll on his mind.

He took a seat at the table; He was doing working on Beginner Fire spells and was glad to know that it depended on the amount of Magic power that you poured into the spell that decided what grade it would fall under.

There were certain spells that didn't take much magic power like Fire ball, if one were to add a great amount of Magic Power into the spell, It would then become Intermediate Grade: Great Fireball.

Azaroth decided to open his status and was surprised at what he saw.

[LEVEL: 11]

[HP – 1400 / 1400]

[MP – 400 / 400]

[Fatigue – 0]

[STR: 29]

[AGI: 31]

[PER: 28]

[VIT: 27]

[INT: 24]

[Attribute Points: 15]

Azaroth was pretty surprised how strong he had grown just by dungeon diving, He was sure he wouldn't get any level-ups like this in D-rank gates anymore.

He opened his Inventory and brought out two loot boxes, placing them on the table. He was the only person who was able to see and feel them.

[Would you like to open the first Loot Box?]

[Yes / No]

Azaroth tapped on Yes and the box opened revealing two floating items, He quickly looked at their descriptions.

[Monster Slayer (Paladin-Grade Item): This dagger was created by the merging of Magic steel and the Blood of a Bloodhound, The Monster Slayer grants the user 5 added points to the Strength and Speed stats and has a higher chance of killing Demonic Monsters than other weapons (Collect)]

"Monster Slayer, huh? It's a perfect thing to use to deal with Demonic monsters without wasting magical energy," Azaroth said.

His problem during the D-grade Demonic dungeon was that he was burning through too much Magical power in a short amount of time.

"This will do nicely," Azaroth said.

The System graded items on the following grades:

The Cavalier Grade

The Paladin Grade

The Warrior Grade

The King Grade

The Emperor Grade

The Deity Grade

Each of these grades were given to items depending on the amount of strength and debuffs they granted upon use.

Taking the Destruction Gauntlet for example is an Emperor grade item, the grade right below the Deity grade. It granted a 20x debuff to the Power Of Destruction, although it didn't allow him to emulate Sirzechs Physical form with POD, Azaroth still got stronger than ever when he equipped the Destruction Gauntlet.

The Monster Slayer was a Paladin grade item, which meant it was strong but then again, Demonic monsters of a much higher grade might be able to alleviate the power and perks of the Monster slayer.

Azaroth quickly hit the Collect button and the Monster Slayer appeared in his right palm, it's sleek and ethereal form casting a little glow to the room.

"So this is the Monster slayer," Azaroth muttered.

The person that crafted was an expert, each and every line smooth and the tip of the blade was very sharp as well.

His eyes went to the second item, unlike the Monster slayer he was currently admiring, This was a spell rune.

It was a stone which was meant to be crushed by the User, the skill within would then be unleashed.

[Bolts of Truth (Intermediate-grade spell): This spell draws upon the innate power of one's magic and creates multiple thunderbolts which strike down the foe, the color and strength of the Bolts of Truth vary depending on the Soul's color (Collect)]

Azaroth's eyes widened in vivid confusion.

"Bolts of Truth, huh?" Azaroth mumbled under his breath.

Honestly after seeing the name, One would think it was one of those cliché skills but the description was eye-catching. The bolts of truth, he had never heard of that kind of magic before.

And the power of the skill was amplified by the color of the soul… To Azaroth, that was a bit disheartening.

Why? He could not perceive or feel the color or strength of his own soul but surely he knew it would be unique considering that he was a Reincarnator and his soul merged with the original Azaroth Gremory to create the boy he was today.

Azaroth hit the collect button and instantly received the spell, He had finished up the basics of Fire spells.

'I might as well hit Lightning spells next,' Azaroth thought.

Mastering all kinds of magic was surely taxing but Azaroth preferred being a generalist at magic than being one of those mages who specialized in only one type of magic.

Specialization was good and effective but once you specialized, you lost every single bit of versatility you once had.

This was the reason for Generalists, mages who specialized in all kinds of magic- But one problem with being a Generalist was having the talent to use all affinities, There were certain magus who had their talents decided at birth- If they held a talent in lightning and fire magic- It would be impossible to master Earth or Water Magic.

But Azaroth had broken past those bounds, The System allowed him to learn and master all of the types of magic including POD which was a very disastrous element on it's own.

And while Azaroth had a talent for any kind of magic, there were some certain types of magic with conditions affixed on them and if Azaroth couldn't fulfill those conditions, He couldn't use the magic.

Azaroth closed the book.

"I should at least check what the Bolts of Truth do," Azaroth muttered as he left.

#####

The backyard provided to be a sufficient place for practice, The Gremory household was certainly built different.

Rias didn't use the backyard for her MINOR training sessions, She had a training room for it.

'Maybe when I grow stronger, I can get a training room of my own,' Azaroth thought.

He didn't plan on staying in the Gremory family forever, He only wanted to be here till he could get Koneko and then he would bounce off with his Peerage to the world above.

There were an uncountable amount of Strays roaming in the world above and Azaroth wondered what kind of gains he would get after defeating a Stray devil.

"Alright, back to the main reason," Azaroth said.

A spell was a manifestation of Elemental manipulation, If he poured MP into his palms and use elemental manipulation on it, He could turn it into fire.

This was actually the first time he was trying a Lightning spell and he couldn't help but have high hopes for it. After all, it was already an Intermediate grade spell.

Azaroth brought his palm forward and a menancing golden aura surged around his palm. Multiple arcs of lightning shot out from his palm, each holding unprecedented amounts of power as they cut through the air quickly, leaving a devastating tremor in their wake.

Author's Note:

Azaroth is getting more powerful with each chapter, his growth isn't as much as Sung Jin Woo is but let me say that he is still an 8 year old child and a Reincarnator at that too.
