14 Lunch

Azaroth sat at the table, cross-legged as he chewed upon a piece of fried chicken.

"Azaroth, that's not proper manners- You're going to get your shirt stained," Grayfia warned but Azaroth gave a small shrug and a cheeky smile.

"You'd still clean it anyway," Azaroth said matter-of-factly.

He had gotten to his role as a child really well, if he acted too mature- he might be suspected and if he acted too childish, it was not going to get him any more girls. So Azaroth decided to take on a new role, he changed from the lazy son he was to a guy obsessed with training and he was acting the part really well.

Grayfia gave a little sigh.

"What if I don't agree to do your laundry anymore?" Grayfia asked.

'It's not like you have a choice,' Azaroth thought. Grayfia didn't have a choice or say on whether she was doing his laundry, it was HER duty, both as his personal attendant and his future attendant as well.

But he wasn't going to make her sound like a slave…

"Then I'll learn how to do them myself, so I don't stress you out Grayfia," Azaroth said with a bright smile as he continued feasting on his chicken.

He couldn't see it but Azaroth couldn't distinctively sense it, that's how powerful his Demonic Haki was and Azaroth couldn't wait for it to reach advanced levels- Well he had to wait.

"Ah, Grayfia… Your cheeks are red," Azaroth said without looking up.

As he expected, Grayfia's face grew even redder to the extent she had to cover them with her palms to hide them from Azaroth but the boy could not help it, hiding her face made her look really cute.

"How can you see me?" Grayfia asked.

"It's a special ability of mine," Azaroth replied while still crunching on his chicken, "Pretty cool right, Now I can see your face 24 / 7,"

Grayfia couldn't help but get a sudden feeling- Like the Azaroth she knew was older… but the feeling faded away as she dropped her palms and looked at his childish cheeks, glistening with oil, he was giving her an oily smile.

Grayfia sighed, no matter how much she looked at Azaroth's smile… She could see Sirzechs. She knew it was unfaithful but she was trying to forget him… he was a former part of her life, a man she had given her entire heart to but he had gone- leaving her behind alone with sad memories and bad dreams. She wanted to forget all about him, they were a newly wed couple… their marriage was supposed to bring fruitful strong devils which would one day rule the Gremory clan, their marriage was based on one of love.

'But you left me…'

Sometimes Grayfia wanted to join him, she wanted to see him again but her feelings were not as strong anymore… Azaroth had started taking a place in her heart, and he was taking a really huge chunk of her heart. Deep within her heart, she wanted to train him- she wanted to protect him… She wanted him to become strong to defend himself from anybody that tried to harm him.

As Azaroth continued feasting on his chicken, Grayfia stared at his childish face and tried to stop herself from reminiscing of Sirzechs… she truly loved him so much but now she had to move on, after all, She had given Azaroth a promise and her word.

#####

Azaroth saw Grayfia looked at him differently now, even his Haki was able to sense something different in the woman.

'Did I do something wrong?' Azaroth thought.

Usually Grayfia looked at him like a child and Azaroth thought gradually he would improve the relationship they shared but it seemed like that was no longer necessary as she started to look at him differently in a way.

"What else should we do, Azaroth?" Grayfia asked and put her hands on her slender hips, "We could go back to the castle or maybe explore around town a little bit,"

Azaroth raised an eyebrow, surely the gaze and everything was different.

"I guess we could explore round town a bit, after all, This is a day off- not an hour off," Azaroth said and Grayfia nodded.

And with that said, they started exploring the expanse of Gremory land.

#####

It was already evening time and Azaroth was surprised, the Gremory territory might as well be as large as an entire fucking Kingdom and Azaroth had barely gotten his palm around the Kingdom itself but he was surprised.

It wasn't too different from the human world he was used to, one of the exceptions was that there were no cars- no bustling streets, most of the devils used their wings to fly so it was more or less the airways that were a bit crowded.

Azaroth despite the fact that he was already eight years old, he strangely hadn't gotten his devil wings yet… It's not like he was jealous of not being able to fly or anything like that… He really wasn't jealous.

'Ahhhh!!! Why can't I have fucking devil wings?!'

Rias had already got her twin bat wings and they looked so damn cool in real life, she used it in their spars sometimes and they strangely increased her combat power all-round a bit. That's just how High School DxD was, it was a world that existed with not too much logic.

Azaroth and Grayfia had found themselves somewhere a little bit far off, the Gremory land albeit being very big… there were still areas like forests in them and Azaroth liked how they differed from what he was used to, the noisy civilization was quickly drowned out by the calm eerie forest.

'Everything seems to be going just right,' Azaroth thought.

While they had spent the entire day walking and exploring, Azaroth had been focusing on concealing his presence with Demonic Magic- he would have tried using Demonic Haki but his energy signature while using Demonic Haki could not be cloaked, Azaroth had learned that after 2 whole hours of experimentation.

It was similar to the trick in Dragon Ball, the one that fooled the Scouter… the Z fighters spammed that shit a lot.

The trick behind faking your Power level was reducing the intent of your KI, it sounded really easy but in reality, it was really hard to do… Azaroth had learned that the hard way, He had to focus on reducing the levels of Magical energy that his body constantly gave off. In this world, you were measured and graded according to the amount of talent for Magic you had, which was why Akeno was in a much higher grade than Rias when it came to Magic control but Rias of course had simply Overpowered Magical and POD reserves which was why she was even able to keep up with Akeno in the first place.

Anyway, I could sense a magical energy coming toward me slowly… but it gave off a unique magical energy from everything I ever sensed before.

"A servant," Grayfia subconsciously muttered out.
