15 Chapter 14

Wazir Ali's POV:

I was looking outside the window while Ahad was driving us to my place.

"How's everything?" I asked lightly. But he got the idea about what I want to know.

"Everything is going well. Your assistant is a bit irritating but I managed it effortlessly because as you know my talents." He winked and a smile crept on my face.

"I definitely know you well, my friend!" I smirked and he burst into laughing.

"Hey hey stop laughing like this. You're driving, stupid." I cautiously said.

"Don't worry. I promised Anaa that I'll bring you back safely." He said and for a minute I got confused.

"Who?" I asked.

" Your wife, dear." He told mischievously.

"And what do you call her?" I asked again curiously.

"Anaa." He bit down his lower lip, nervously.

"Oh okay. Nice. So this was telling me that you progressed quite a lot." I compliment like nothing, but I don't know what stinks inside me.

"Oh gosh! I thought; you minded it!" His body instantly relaxed.

"Minded what exactly?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Giving your wife a nickname." He smiled and I laughed dryly.

"No no. Why do I mind it? And anyways, I & she don't have a wife-husband loving relationship at all." I explained to myself more than to him but something was really not okay.

"Well, if you want to mind it, then I can tell you that she's just a very good friend and a little sister to me. I spend a lot of time with her in the absence of you and I got to know her very well, she's a very nice person. You will absolutely fall in love with her eventually." He advised me.

"Oh shut it!" I turned my face away.

"You'll see my friend." And those words continue echoing in my head during the whole ride. When I reached the door of my luxurious flat, it felt like I was carrying a thousand ton weighed stone over my back. Ahad opened the door from the door keys and we both filed in. Everything was looking good, nothing changed or maybe I don't have the stamina to feel it.

"Anaa! I brought back your husband home safely like I promised." Ahad's humorous voice echoed through the space of the living room. I settled myself on the sofa and closed my eyes. I heard footsteps and then someone entered the room.

"Assalam O Alikum!" A slow voice was detected by my tiring senses and my eyes opened. I focused on the girl standing at the door. She was wearing a simple golden kurti and a skin-white pajama with it. Her looks were simple but attractive and she was looking at Ahad, not me. She looked familiar to me in some way, it’s like I saw her somewhere but I didn’t comprehend exactly where! So I closed my eyes again.

"Walikum assalam!" Then I mumbled softly. A new kind of feelings I started to feel was confusing and irritating to me, at a time. I have to figure this all out!
