13 Chapter 12

Wazir Ali's POV:

I still can't believe that I did that...that I got married. Got married with a servant's daughter who I didn't even know accept her name. And I didn't even want to believe that my first marriage is just a deal, a responsibility to protect someone from my father and then after the assurance I have to divorce her. What have I done? I can't do that to myself? I can't protect an unknown girl from my father by marrying her. What if I failed? What would I do if I haven't fulfilled my promise?

So many thoughts were running through my brain and I can't jerk them away even if I wanted to. I married Khalid's daughter against my will just to protect her because Khalid requested me, begged me for her protection and I melted. I gave him my words; I agreed, I surrendered…

It's been almost 20 days since I sent her away to London with the most trusted person in my life, my only friend 'Ahad'. I worked out and overcame every difficulty or hurdle that came in transportation of my wife from Pakistan to London. I sent her away and stayed back here because I can't leave Khalid and his wife alone. Although Khalid insisted on me going with my wife and my friend, I refused.

I knew the consequences when the news would break to my father about the lostness of Anaar Kali, my wife. And at that time, I have to be there to protect Khalid from my father's rage.

A knock on my door broke the chain of my thoughts.

"Come in!" I said and the person who showed up, boiled my blood. I literally hate him like none other. An evil grin was plastered on his lips when he entered my room and then sat on the sofa which was placed at the corner of my room.

"Can I ask you, what brings you here?" I furrowed.

"Yes you can, so go ahead! Any guesses?" His voice boomed in my room, making me shift on the bed where I was laying flat.

"You want to be beaten by your son, obviously." I spitted out. I thought I crossed the line but his laugh sent a shiver down my spine. He was beyond furious than I thought, or maybe I was underestimating him in some ways.

"Hahahaha!!! You are more funnier than your filthy mother." He spoke and I stood up with a jerk. He again disrespected my mother.

"Calmed down son! Because you need it when I will tell you this.." He winked evilly and my heart skipped a beat from fear. I know something horrible happened. He had done something, again!

"What? What are you talking about?" I whispered. He laughed huskily and then stood up, walked towards me and when he came near me, he leaned in and whispered in my ear slowly.

"I killed another traitor.... I killed that poor, old couple who betrayed me by hiding my bride-to-be from me... I killed Khalid and Naseema..." And my breath hitched.
