Winds of change

"What's a Beast Tamer?" Asked Chiodi as his eyes met Aja's who seemed to be staring at him.

"They're gifteds who are able to call forth monstrous entities and have them manifest themselves through their vibes. Some ancient texts say they could summon celestial beings and beasts long forgotten through vibing to the appropriate frequency." Explained Aberewa with the look of a historical nerd.

Aja: I've never heard of it...

Aberewa: After they stopped appearing, temple scholars labelled them as myths and village legends.

"I used to know a Beast Tamer other than Chiodi but that was many years ago." Said Maduk as he inhaled and exhaled.

"Really? Who???" Asked Aberewa desperately.

"He used to call me brother."

"What do you mean by "used to" ?" Asked Aja with a confused look in her face.

Maduk sighed as he settled his eyes on Chiodi, "I left to join the Pope and he never spoke to me again." He sent puffs of smoke in the air. "Anyways, enough of all this! Chiodi needs rest and I guess you need some time alone" He said moving his gaze from Chiodi to Aja and back to Chiodi then left his seat and walked to the door."

"Hey! Aberewa, When I said they I didn't mean you. Come with me jare! Let's give them a little reunion privacy" He giggled childishly before exiting the door. Aberewa smiled as she followed him after teasing them with a heart symbol she used both hands to create.

Aberewa shut the door behind her as she casted a skeptical eye on Maduk with both hands on her on her waist.

"What's wrong?" Asked Maduk with a smile.

Aberewa: Why didn't you tell me about any of it Maduk? Why are you so secretive? I thought....

"Hey Hey Hey! Don't get the wrong idea Aberewa. I wanted to be sure before revealing any of it" A faint trace of worry resonated in his tone as he took both her hands in his. "I'm only protecting you from your curiosity."

"Another excuse Maduk!" She snapped pulling her hands from his, "You can't keep pushing everyone away with those fake smiles, You can't keep bearing all the weight Maduk, why can't you just let me in." Her beautiful eyes held back the tears forming on the edges as she blinked a few times and walked away leaving Maduk alone standing motionless in the hallway.

Meanwhile Aja sat beside Chiodi with her right hand locked with his and her eyes glued on his like a magnet, "Chiodi, I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help to you that day. I.." Her voice seemed to calm his inner ache giving him some sort of temporary comfort as Chiodi's hand met her lips silencing her.

Chiodi: Shhhh! Aja, Don't apologize for anything. I was the one who underestimated my opponent and suffered a bashing defeat. Your presence was help enough to keep me composed. I don't know what I'd do without you Aja.

Chiodi ran a gentle finger through her unpacked hair as an innocent smile took hold of her beautiful face, her eyes were Instantly full of life, more than before and her body felt a train of relief running through it. She had missed him deeply, her actions couldn't hide it anymore. It was now obvious that she was excited.

"Aja, Have I ever told you how beautiful you look when you smile?" Chiodi said as she layed her head on his shoulder.

"No, Why don't you tell me."

"Umm, I just kinda did."

"I don't think so, Maybe I wasn't listening. Come on, Tell me."

Chiodi's face turned red as his attempt to create a romantic atmosphere was failing, he tried to think of the exact words to say inorder to express himself but every attempt was crushed by the warmth coursing through him from her tenderness and soft touch.

Aja giggled at how easily she made him speechless as she adjusted her head to rest on his chest, the atmosphere was set as Chiodi's heart was lit up with both excitement and worry. The only thing his mind kept reminding him as he caressed her hair softly was, "Being strong is only what would keep smiles on the faces of those you hope to protect."

During the 5 months of Chiodi's deep slumber, the 3 rookies who survived the incident only focused on making themselves stronger and honing their vibes better. After their graduation 4 months ago, they got separated, Wazobia returned to the seminary in Benin to continue his training while Chukun was posted to Kemet to continue his training and Razak was posted back to the holy lands to continue his training there and become a Tutor himself as well.

Chukun was now a deacon in kemet making a name for himself through his persistence and personality, Wazobia on the other hand elevated to the title of a sword saint;A set of well sharpened swordsmen who were directly under the 5 sacred swords of the Pope.

The 5 sacred swords of the Pope represents the 5 senses with the Pope representing the sixth sense, the swordsmen had individual abilities considered to be on par with the six evangelists who ruled as the six Kings of the six kingdoms of the world, namely ; kemet, Fuji, Benin, Cusp, Aika and Mazda kingdoms.

Razak on the who was still in Benin, rejected the title of becoming a deacon. He used the influence he'd gained after their graduation to help focus on his training, vigorously building his skills without holding back. The incident that occurred 5 months ago had created a pinpoint focus within him making his only goals vengeance for Nan's death and becoming the most powerful Earth Viber the world has ever seen.

Within the training grounds were multiple rookies training in groups undergoing one on one spars amongst themselves. Razak had a rookie assigned to him directly from the Pope for training, a boy named Riku Madi.

Like Wazobia, Riku came from the seminary where sword saints were trained. He was a very reliable fighter who came at the top of his colleagues, his skills were above average, his scores and intimidating feats caught the Pope's attention and was brought to be properly trained in the holy temple under the supervision of the Pope himself.

Riku was an innocent looking boy with a rough long hair and cold blue eyes lapping perfectly into his expressionless face, he wore a silver robe with 2 golden triangles intertwined, a robe which was a normal appearance amongst seminarians.

Razak found Riku staring into the blank in the training grounds away from every other rookie, Razak stopped a few inches away staring at the rookie as, in a flash, he saw Nan's figure flicker over the rookie.

He's mind was taken to the happy moments they had with Nan, he remembered always trying to catch up with him, he remembered trying to act cool whenever Nan performed an intriguing feat. He smiled as he returned his mind to the rookie, "As a light Viber your abilities are as vast as the skies you're staring at. Only you can become your limits, I believe you've realized that already." Razak perfectly caught Riku's attention as his cold eyes had a faint trace of light running through them when it met him.

"My name is Razak and I'll from today be your Tutor. I hope your time with me will prove fruitful. Riku Madi." Said Razak as he quickly tapped his left foot on the ground.

Riku moved his gaze through Razak with a straight face, he stood in his position staring without uttering a word till he finally ended the awkward silence, his words were almost under his breath after he took a respectful bow. "Please train me properly sir."

Razak watched this rookie closely as he solidified his stance and folded both his hands. He felt a hollow vibe surging from the boy, his dull eyes explained his almost dead spirit yet he felt a will so strong that it pierced the clouds hovering in his eyes. Now Razak was really curious to witness Riku's abilities firsthand.
