chapter 3

You make sure that no one is around the court yard near you before looking up at the castle wall. The wall has grey bricks sticking out forming a pattern to the wall. The pattern of the bricks stick out enough for you to hold on to. You go to one side of the gate to the inside of the castle and start to climb. Your goal is to climb up to a balcony and hope no one is in the room. Looking up, you see a balcony about 100 feet in the air of you.

'Let's hope the training pay off or I will be one flat person,' You thought darkly as you start to rise from the ground. About half way to the balcony, one of your hand slips from the brick. Your body would have follow with your hand if not for the other hand kept you from falling. Once you got both hands and feet on the bricks, you start to climb agian. The next time you stop is right by the balcony. You hear voices coming from the room.

"I just don't understand why she has to be so-so-so stubborn about her responsibilities," a womans voice full of frustration.

"My dear, did you not want freedom when you were her age?" Another voice, a mans voice, ask the woman. The woman is quite for a few seconds.

"I mean, yes I did. But I thought of the bigger picture and not of myself all the time. Our day were different when we were kids." The woman says at last exhaustly.

'Are they the king and queen!?' I ask my

self in shock. The only time you meet the king and queen is when you did something really good, like hero good. Or if you are the reason for some project they are working on.

"There really is not much we can do to help her see the bigger picture, Mary. All we can do is help her through what ever she is going through in life. If a time for to need to see the bigger picture, than we will have to force her to see it if she likes it or not."The man (possibly king) says to Mary (possible queen).

"But I don't want to do that to our little Rose!" sobs Mary.

"I know. I know. I don't want to either, but sometime we must do what have to for the greater good." The man comforts Mary.

'It is the king and queen!' You thought in wonder.

'Who could have guessed that royalty was not as good as it looks.' you thought to yourself.

"Let's talk to her in the morning, and get some sleep. Ok, hun?" The king asks Mary. Mary stops sobbing and grows quiet.

"Ok. Let's get some sleep. I think I will need it." The queen says to the king. They blow out the candles and went to bed. You think you can sneak past them and out of the room. Or you could wait until you are sure the king and queen are sound asleep before entering the room.
