I glanced down to Asher's hand as it felt hot before looking to his face. His face, ears, and neck were slightly red as he looked away from me.

He chuckled lightly, "you always catch me off guard." I shivered as he pulled my hand up and kissed it sweetly, "but it's one of the many things I love about you."

I felt me heart race and fought my pheromones. "Since you picked where we ate, can I pick the next thing we do?"

He gave me a questioning look, "what do you have in mind?"

I sighed, "It's something I've always wanted to redo in life. It's a moment that has never left my mind."

He handed me the keys, "lead the way." I led him to the car and we quietly drove to a spot a bit out of the way. "I don't understand," Asher commented and I smiled.

"You'll see," I replied as he followed me and got out of the car. I took his hand before quickly walking into the small park from so long ago.

He searched around the area before looking back to me, "I'm still confused."

I pulled him to concrete bench and sat down, "it's a small moment in our past but it has haunted me." I whispered as I tried not to show my feelings. "When I was stuck on bedrest while pregnant with the twins, I spent nights reliving this moment and trying to change it every time. But..." I squeezed his hand to fight back tears as Asher placed his hand on my cheek, "every time it ended with you coming back to this spot and finding that I was gone. Every time I begged and pleaded with my heart, body, and soul to stop my reaction to his pheromones. But every time I left and ruined the thing I wanted most in my life." I took a deep breath before pushing his hand off me. "But now...I get to choose what I do." I handed him my credit card with a large smile. "Can we try again?"

His eyes were wet as he laughed slightly, "I'd like that." He kissed the top of my head before getting up. "Hot chocolate sound okay?"

I smiled more, "yeah that sounds good."

I watched as Asher went into the coffee shop and couldn't help but feel fear creeping up my spine. My foot began bouncing my leg as I felt a shiver but was relieved to see Asher soon appear in the doorway of the coffee shop with two cups. As I went to stand up, I felt my body rattle. Pheromones filled my senses as I whipped around but was relieved when I saw a pair of teenagers rushing by holding hands and the girl's face was fire red. Clearly she was an Alpha in heat.

I watched as Asher suddenly intercepted the teenagers as they rushed by and led them over to a small table. Asher rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a pack of suppressants. He handed them to the girl and she thanked him profusely before rushing away.

As Asher came over to me his face gleamed and he sat beside me, "I gotta say," he chuckled slightly. "I didn't realize how much I needed this redo."

He handed me my drink before holding my other hand. "I'm sorry again."

He sighed, "you couldn't stop what happened, Will." He smiled slightly, "at least something amazing came from it." He chuckled, "well two amazing somethings, I should say."

I laughed before leaning on his shoulder, "that's true." I kissed his cheek before we quietly drank our hot chocolate. As we finished, Asher wrapped his arm around my waist and leaned onto me.

"How about we go to the bar?"

I scoffed, "why not?" Asher took my hand and led me back to the car. We quietly drove and I couldn't help but keep glancing in the mirrors.

"No one is following us this time, right?"

I sighed, "with all of what has happened, I can't know for sure."

Asher sighed deeply, "are you sure you want to go tomorrow?"

"Marie will be there."

"I don't want this to come off wrong but... you and Marie can't handle him." He took another deep breath, "he's a dominant Alpha and you're both Omegas. He could easily use his pheromones to make it impossible for you to fight back. Especially now that you have broken your bond. All bets are off, he could do anything. He's lost everything so he's desperate for control."

I touched Asher's tense shoulder and rubbed it lightly. "I know," I gulped hard. "I am terrified of what he can do. I've made so much progress in getting back my freedom but he could take it in a second."

"I want to go with you." I looked from him, "I could help! I may not be an elite dominant Alpha but I can take him as a fellow Alpha."

"Would you feel better if I had an Alpha with me?"

"Who did you have in mind? You know he won't accept that."

"Marie's husband is an Alpha and is a friend of Jayden's."

He looked to me with shock, "if he's Jayden's friend, he isn't trustworthy!"

"He didn't tell Jayden anything when I left. I don't know when he found out exactly as Marie waited to tell him like I asked."

"I can't trust some stranger with your safety."

I took out my phone, "do you want to talk with him?"

"I'd rather meet him."

I opened my phone and called Marie, "Hey, I have an idea for tomorrow."
