Chapter 40. Mistake‼️❌

This chapter is a mistake, please be guided...

"Excuse me gentleman," Justin said in a friendly tone.

"Good day sir, how may I help you?" The male hotel attendant asked.

Justin quickly slammed a bundle of cash on the table.

The hotel attendant's eyes flickered open, "at your service sir."

"The money is all yours, just tell me if the girl who stayed in room 602 is still here," Justin bribed.

"Do you know her name?" The attendant asked.

"Yes, Chloe Wilson," Justin replied in haste.

"Follow me sir."

"To where?" Justin asked in alertness.

"To the receptionist."

Justin understood immediately. The check in files were with the receptionist. He followed him at once..

The attendant talked to the receptionist, Justin wasn't interested in their conversation. He roamed his eyes around, hoping he would catch a glimpse of his angel.

"Sir?"

"Yes?"

"Miss Chloe's room number is 603 and not 603. The room on the right side."

"Check your details well because I am sure I was in room 602, the room on the left side," Justin said in a stern stern voice.

"Sir there is no mistake with our details. It's very accurate," he heard the female receptionist say.

"Ok. If Chloe had checked into room 603, then who checked into room 602?" Justin asked.

"Miss Vio," the receptionist answered.

"Is that also a name?" Justin asked in awe.

"Vio Green," the receptionist completed.

"Can I have their numbers, I mean Vio and Chloe's number?"

"No sir. It's prohibited," the receptionist quickly cut him off.

He took out another bundle of cash and slammed it on her table. "No one will find out if you give the number to me, besides I'm buying them not asking for the numbers for free," he said, flashing the bundle of money to her face.

The receptionists eyes widened. She did not hesitate in giving him the numbers.

He collected it. "Next time I come miss, find a room for us, I will love to see just how good you are in bed." Of course, there was never going to be a next time. Justin shamelessly played the foolish receptionist.

"I will bear this in mind," she seductively smiled at him. She just didn't have any idea who Justin was...

"As for you.." he said turning to the male attendant, "I owe you a nice treat. I think you should quit this job and work for me, I'll pay you more than what you are getting here."

"I'm ready sir. When shall I start?"

"Patience boy. You will have the job once you have passed my test," he said, tapping on his shoulder.

"I'm ready for the test as well," the attendant didn't even think twice.

"Call me when you find Miss Chloe or miss Vio for me. Then you can begin your work," Justin said handing him a little card. He had cunningly deceived both the attendant and the receptionist because of their greed.

"I will sir," the attendant replied with courage.

Justin smiled at them and left.

When he entered his call, he placed a call to miss Chloe but she didn't pick, then he call the other lady's number.

"Hello, is the Vio?" Justin asked as soon as the call was accepted. He voice was so pitched in disguise.

"Yes. Who's this?" She asked.

Immediately he heard the once, he remembered his angel's voice. Yes, she was really the person.

"Chloe," he called. "Is that you on the line?" He completed.

"Who are you? And how did you even get my number?" She asked in a riding tone.

"I am the guy from last night and you have got my phone."

"Sorry. Wrong number," she said, about to hang up.

"Don't hang up yet. I want to meet you."

"We can't, I do not know you."

"Are you still pretending not to know me? Well I am the guy that fucked you real hard, remember?" Justin sneered.

"I see you don't have anything meaningful to say other than making me feel irritated. So please stop bothering me."

"I want to meet you."

"Find me if you can," she said and immediately hung up.

Justin smiled, "I have found you already, baby."

He dialed a contact, "I am sending you a phone number, track down the location and send it to me immediately."

"I will but what d...." Justin rudely hung up before the other voice could complete his sentence.

Justin returned to his apartment. A big sitting room, a large stoke dinning, two rooms, two rest rooms, a small corner for exercising and two balconies.

He had never invited anyone to his place and he never intended to.

He went into his bathroom, took a quick shower and got out. He wore a turtle neck and a suit. He wore his best perfume and left his room. Before he could step out of the house, he got a call.

"Have you found the location?" He asked over the phone.

"Yes, Water Falls Junction."

"What is she doing over there?" Justin blurted out.

"How would I know?"

"The question wasn't meant for you. I will send your payment later, good bye." He quickly hung up.

"Water Falls Junction?" He muttered

"Not far from Fire Falls Street, close to field lane. Ohh my angel, you were only few distances away from me," he added.

He picked up his car key and left the apartment. As the elevator went down, he thought about who is angel really was. The elevator stopped and he walked out. He hurriedly left the building and headed to his Lexus 360, then climbed into it and drove away. He whistled as he drove out.

Miss Chloe or miss Vio, their names didn't matter and he believed they couldn't match up to him. As a child he loved to play hide and seek game, now he was all grown up and still good at the game. He believed in playing games, playing girls, playing with money but never playing against fate.

Now fate would decide if he finds his angel or not.

He pulled his car to a public parking spot. Even though there were lots of cars, he didn't fail to notice the red Peugeot sedan he saw at the hotel. He walked out of the garage and strolled into the street.

"What would Chloe, I mean Vio be doing here?" He thought.

The street had an FBI station, a secret service organization and an army barrack.

"They should have just put a no - go - area sign board for criminals like me," he murmured as he walked.

His eyes kept on darting sideways in search of his angel, his prey. Suddenly his eyes locked with hers. He finally found her. He couldn't approach her on time because he was at the other side of the road. He waited for the cars to pass then he crossed over to the other side of the road but she was gone. She can't go far, he reasoned. He quickened his step, so he could catch up with her. He caught her entering a gate. It was the Secret service gate. What would a prostitute be doing there?

He walked into the gate. A man approached him, "what do you want sir?"

"Chloe."

"There's no Chloe in here."

"Okay. The lady who entered before me, does she work here?"

"Or you mean miss Violet Randolph?"

"No. Chloe Wilson or Vio Green." Justin was really confused.

"I have not heard any of these names before," the man said. "Oh Vio is the short name for miss Violet. That's the name her colleagues address her by. She is very violent."

"Especially in bed," Justin muttered.

"I need you to speak with her, can you help me with that."

"But sir...."

"I want to see her," Justin said forwardly. "If you help me, I will pay you in huge," Justin displayed his wealth again.

"I don't think you can see her today."

"Why? Does she work here?"

"No. The Secret Service Agent needs her intelligence and strength."

"What do you mean by her intelligence and strength?"

"We'll miss Violet is very skilled in martial arts and she has criminal knowledge is very impressive."

"Is she an investigator then?"

"I won't say she is an investigator but rather a spy girl."

"So the girl from last night was sent to me as a spy?" He asked himself in a low voice. This was the first someone deceived him.

"I must see her," Justin said roughly.

"Sir please calm down, you can't see her today."

"Okay fine but make sure no body finds out about our discussion or else... He smirked at him, "I will hunt you down," he completed.

The man nodded in fear.

Justin left for his car. He was very confused now. Was she Violet, Wilson or Vio? Was she a spy or an investigator?

All this questions needed an answer and he was determined to find his angel.

Violet came out of the building, she was heading towards her car when she heard someone call her.

"Violet!!!"

She turned, "sir."

"You have carried out a great job, well done."

"Thank you sir."

"All you have to do now is be careful, the killer could be anywhere. He shouldn't find out about what you have done, he should not get to know your real name or find out that you have something that could sentence him to life imprisonment.

"You shouldn't worry sir, I know how to handle ruthless people like him. This mission is more important to me than it is to anybody, I don't mind degrading myself to his level in order to expose him."

"I'm glad you co operated with us, you will receive your payment in a while."

"Thank you sir."

He nodded and left.

Violet smiled to herself. She had succeeded in bringing the man she loathed the most down and she had also earned her payment. She would party all night, two good news and her success was confirmed. Forty million could change so many things in her life. It could feed her for the rest of her days on earth.

She walked out of the gate in accomplishment.

Violet entered her Peugeot sedan and drove consciously looking at the mirror to make sure no one followed her.

A black Lexus car took off behind her, distant enough for her not to see. Violet increased her speed but Justin drove slowly, with enough concentration. There was no need for him to rush, his prey was in front of him and there was no escaping for her.

The red Peugeot stopped and Justin heard her tooting the car horn. He packed his own car far away and carefully took notice of Violet's moves. He came down from his car and walked to the gate when Violet entered.

The gateman tried stopping Justin from entering, but as usual he bribed his was in with his excessive money.

Violet noticed the gate hadn't been locked yet, "lock the gate!." She commanded as she started walking to her house.

"Blatant liar," Justin whispered, but to her hearing.

Violet turned around in fright. She rested on her car in support, she stared at him, her brown eyes widening in fear and her hand covering her mouth.

"Why do you look so scared, angel?" His voice sounded so sarcastic, "is your guilty conscience pricking you? Or are you surprised to see me here?"

"How the hell did you get into my house, you scoundrel." She said in sharp tone.

"Why don't you figure that out? You are smart enough."

She flinched. "What are you talking about?" What have you done to my gateman?"

Justin smiled, "don't panic angel, I didn't kill him, I just paid him off the same way you were paid off to get to me. We are the only beings in here."

"Why are you here and what do you want from me?"

"Why did you lie to me?"

"I never lied to you."

"Oh yes you did," Justin shouted. "Chloe Wilson is not your name neither are you a prostitute."

"I didn't lie to you, I only wrote you can call me Chloe, as for my occupation, you were the person that jumped into conclusion. I never told you I was a prostitute, you called me that yourself."

Justin moved to her and ran his hand around her waist. "How much did they pay you? I will triple the money."

Violet gulped down her saliva. "I don't know what you are talking about."

"Stop with all your pretence darling. You are lucky I am crazy about you, else I would have squeezed your breath off this lovely neck of yours, I want you and I'm ready to pay any price."

"Are you sure?" She asked in hesitation.

"Yes, I am."

"The price is that you have to spend your miserable life in jail," she said through gritted teeth.

"Calm down angel. You don't know the worth of what you have until you lose them."

Violet's face was a smug.

"What did you do with my phone? Did you think I wouldn't find out?" He laughed. "Certainly not," he answered his own question.

"There's nothing on that phone that could implicate me. It has solid proofs but none has any link to me. None of my identification details are on the phone. Too bad angel, I'm always a step ahead of my enemies."

There was expression of Violet's face.

"Don't be too sure. Someone contacted you earlier on and once we track him down, it won't be long until you will be locked behind bars."

"So you think you can implicate me?"

"Of course, the Secret Service are tracking the last caller...

Justin interrupted her with his loud laughter. "How are you going to track him down? It won't be possible, that man is way too smart to let his guard down. I have an advice for you angel, spend the night with me and steal another helpful information because you won't get anything from that phone."

"I lost ten million today in order to find you, so why not give me a good reward. The Secret Service are only using you. They have given you some payments and you think it all ends here. No my angel they will receive more from you."

"They would have even asked sex, if you weren't a dirty, sneaky harlot," Justin spat out.

Violet's face stiffened, "harlot?*

"Being an harlot is better than having my hands stained with the blood of innocent people, ruthless criminal..

He grabbed her so violently, his face very close to hers. Violet's mouth hung open, her eyes flickered and she looked scared out of her wits.

"I m not just a criminal, I'm a killer. You would have been dead by now if I wasn't much crazy about you."

"Believe me angel, I'm ready to give you more than they have offered, all you have to do is be my woman."

She loosened herself from his grip.
