6 I'm Jane Doe

Lin Jane sat close to her room mirror staring at her self. She brought out sharp scissors and cut her long hair short. She brought out her high definition make up items. She was going to work for the Browns bringing them the necessary information to carry out their Mafia activities.

She slid herself into a tight black pair of pants a black camisole and a Black Jacket. She had tinted the side if her hair brown and used an eye pencil to reshape her brows, making sure it was perfect before moving on to the other items. By the time she was finished, she was no longer Lin Jane but Jane Doe. She was working for the very family she hated so much, which was not for good reasons.

She couldn't even recognize her self when she finished. She retouched her lip with the red lipstick in her hands to give it a darker shade.

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" were the words she recited daily since the death of her grandfather and the fall of the great Lin household. It had been her biggest plan for years, she has trained relentlessly should the opportunity presented itself. She had also trained at Mr Wu's karate class under an alias. She had always felt her life was in danger after the threat of Mr Brown and the events that followed.

She had become a reporter to expose them for who they truly were. It was her life's work and finally, she had been called to work for them. She had anonymously helped them with intel that helped them avoid serious trouble with the law and Mr Brown wanted such a person on his team hence, he had decided to offer her a Job to give intel

She took her mini purse that contained a few basic things that should be in a lady's purse including her favourite pen. Was it a pen or a weapon? No one could have guessed the difference.

She had moved out of her family apartment where she lived with her father and sister.

The Lin household had two beautiful girls and had suffered from a lot of injustice.

Mr Lin was a once successful businessman, the CEO of his family-owned Royals restaurant which was a 5-star restaurant, they were known for preparing a wide range of dishes ranging from the traditional local Chinese dishes to intercontinental dishes and American foods.

They provided the best meals and had a lot of contracts to supply various big companies lunch at work and also covered some of the biggest events and conferences in the country.

Lin Jane's grandfather was known as one of the topmost successful Asian men in America. Which attracted a whole lot of enemies especially Americans who felt he stole their spot.

Their biggest competitor was the Browns restaurant. It wasn't a 5-star restaurant at the time but a 3-star restaurant, not as grand as the browns.

But the Brown family was one of the most influential and dangerous families in the country situated in Preston. No one ever dared cross their path. At least not without a death wish.

What the Browns wanted they got. The family was involved in a lot of shady deals.

They controlled 50% of the drug cartel in the country and had lots of officers on the payroll who would gladly look the other way.

They also had some custom officers on payroll enabling them to control the borders and ship guns and drugs into the city.

They were almost above the law.

This was the family she was acting as an undercover informant for. She stepped out of her apartment. She had made adequate plans to move out of her family's house so she would bring no danger to them. She stopped at a cab just in front of her apartment. And drove straight to the Browns villa.

The villa contained a gigantic mansion and small mini structures around the mansion floored with green grasses. It has a waterfall in the middle. It was made up of two crystalline unicorns with water coming out from it's opened mouth, the water fountain was about 10ft and was decorated with ring lights that displayed various colours at night.

A rush of fear gripped her as she walked in. The two hefty bodyguards stationed at the entrance of the apartment was enough to keep her heart from her chest wall to her throat. She tried to suppress the fear. The people working for the Browns were very smart. If there was a slight fault in her act, it could cost her her head she knew what she was getting into. But she had a strong desire for revenge hence it didn't matter if she died in the process "but not today" she said calmly. She attempted to walk past the guards as one of them stopped her in her tracks. "Who are you? "

She took off her dark shades gently.

"I'm Jane Doe"
