Hidden Fantasy- A Werewolf's Obsession... Aiden I trembled as I watched her leave me once again shattering my heart into a million pieces. You used to be my sunshine, the one I ignited from the inside for. Even if my thoughts simply moved your way for a little second, I used to get a rush of affection. I used to grin whenever I saw your face; I would yearn to dive into your eyes. I would have done everything you asked for and given you anything you want. My sadness is gruelling grief that comes in waves, robbing me of my appetite and sleep. It's a shard in my gut that never leaves, though the edges may mellow over time. It seems like death, much like grief, and it chokes my breath and short circuits my thoughts at quiet moments. What was once whole is now shattered; where there was once tranquillity, there is now emptiness, echoes of a love I gave my everything to. You take another step away from me with each passing day that you are not at my side, even if I urged you to exhibit some sense of compassion, affection, or love. You bring nothing except rage, distrust, and an averted stare. My only "crime" was not being able to handle your fury and the words you let slip out uncontrolled. I've always done my best for you and continue to do so today. As insufficient as you find me, this is my best; it's all that's left of a once proud and strong spirit - shards on the floor, afraid of being blown away by the next breeze. In my mind, there was only one thing that made sense right now. Would I ever be able to forget about her?...

Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 20-Alessia & Noah

When I stepped into class and saw Logan seated in one of the rear chairs, my heart sank. Noah cut me off just as I was going to say something to him.

Noah muttered, "I need to tell you something later," and we both proceeded slowly towards two desks near the window. As I retrieved my books, my sight was drawn to Logan, who was wearing a mournful expression.

"Now students let's begin!" A man stated as he walked in & introduced himself as Mr Jackson. I took out my notebooks and started taking notes on the lesson. The topic of today's lesson was the history of vampires. A topic that piqued my interest, yet a bunch of them attempted to murder me. As Mr Jackson began to speak, I quickly began scribbling as many notes as I could before a question arose in my mind.

"How is the first immortal being, Mr Jackson?" I inquired, intrigued. Everyone's gaze was drawn to Mr Jackson all of a sudden.

"Wonderful question, Alessia!" Many people believe that Ravana was the first immortal to ever walk the planet. Mr Jackson explained as I jotted down all the notes in my book interested to know about Ravana, "She apparently created the Faction of Vampires, but then people who used to rule over the humans called The Old Leaders were furious about her creation, so in revenge, they created Werewolves to take revenge, and to this day that vendetta is ignited."

I inquired, "How did she become immortal?"

"Well, a lot of people have suspicions, but no one knows for sure," Mr Jackson replied as the bell rang, signalling the end of class. As people began to leave, I told Noah to wait for me in the cafeteria, and he did so. I approached Mr Jackson and posed my inquiry to him.

"Sir, do you know of any places where I might learn more about Ravana?" As I clutched my books in my hands, I questioned him.

"Take a look in the library; it's one of the Academy's oldest structures." Mr Jackson said, "If you want information, go there." Before heading to the Cafeteria, I walked over to my locker and stuffed my books inside. I ran into Logan while walking there and said hello.

"Where are you headed?" In a pleasant tone, I said.

"You appear to be in a good mood," Logan observed.

"I am," I replied, smiling at him.

Logan commented, "Nice necklace," and I grasped it right away.

"Thank you," I muttered as I let go, attempting to keep my feelings hidden.

"Wanna join me in the Cafeteria?" In an optimistic tone, I inquired.

"Sure, why not?" Logan responded with a melancholy tone. I took his arm and dragged him up to Floor 3, where Noah was waiting for me. He was completely taken aback when he saw me with Logan. When we arrived at the table, I took a seat and introduced them both.

"This is Logan, Noah." "Logan, this is Noah," I remarked as I took a sip of coffee and retrieved my notes. I could sense something bothering Noah as we interacted, but I didn't know what it was. When break was over, we went to language class, which flew by in a blink of an eye. We were learning Japenese, which seemed difficult to me at first, but Noah spoke it fluently and with a smile on his face. We spent the entire lesson practising Japanese, which Noah promised to assist me with. The bell rang after 2 hours, and all of the pupils sprinted to lunch.

"I'll see you after school," I said to Noah as I walked inside Division 3's library. It was so immense that I was astonished no one got lost. When I first walked into the archives, I was taken aback by the sheer number of volumes and shelves in front of me. I instantly inquired about vampires with the librarian, who directed me to the rear of the room to observe them. She took out an ancient book that was so filthy that I had to wheeze a bunch.

I thanked her and sat down at a desk, dusting off the book as I opened it. Inside, I looked through the pages for anything related to Ravana, but the last few pages were blank. Suddenly, something from enchantment class came to mind. After browning the book, I dashed out of the library to enchantments. I asked Dr Verlice whether I may borrow her equipment, and she enthusiastically agreed. I gathered a large number of ingredients and began brewing a revealing potion that I had discovered in Olivia's magic book. When the potion was ready, I poured the entire batch onto the blank sheets and after a second a hiss erupted into the air. The pages began to load with information as smoke began to materialise. Because the potion worked, I burst out cheering. I started cleaning up my mess and thanked Dr Verlice for giving me a key to use the classroom whenever I wanted.

Being an Aldine bloodline daughter has its advantages at times. I put the book in my bag and wrapped it in a thick white cloth. As I walked to my locker, I placed the book inside whilst an invisibility spell was protecting it. Then Logan contacted me as I was walking into the Cafeteria for a quick drink before heading home.

He explained, "I need to show you something." We suddenly started sprinting towards Division 4, where a gathering of people was circling a person I didn't recognise. I gasped as I forced my way through everyone and saw the individual. Noah was unconscious on the floor, with a large slash across his chest and forehead.

Noah

I dashed to Enchantments just as Alessia was leaving, clutching the sample of the deceased human in my palm. Before I alerted Alessia, I needed to double-check that what I was assuming was correct. I crushed a time potion just as I arrived, and everything came to a halt. The lab room floor was flooded with mist, giving the impression that a phantom had entered. I snatched up a lab coat and went to work, thinking maybe I was mistaken. I began to consider what I might use to discover what had happened to the individual, and suddenly it occurred to me. I began my search within the white built-in cabinets.

"Got it!" I screamed as I pulled out a magical orb I'd learnt about a few days before. I set it on a table and spilt the human's blood all over it, causing a crimson haze to appear. I took it in my hands and was instantly bombarded with recollections. I noticed the person walking down the street and called his parents to inform them that they will be home shortly. Smoke began to form all over them very instantly, and they turned to find a Vampire beaming at them. I witnessed Logan pierce the person's throat with his sharp fangs as they cried in distress. Blood began to drip indiscriminately, causing a continually expanding wave on the floor.

Logan abruptly came to a halt, snapping the human's neck and wiping his lips with pleasure. When the vision came to a close, I just stood there in disbelief, trying to make sense of what I'd just observed. I started packing to get to Alessia right away when the time mist began to dissipate and I bolted from the room. I was headed towards Division 3 with a time potion clasped in my fist when Logan suddenly approached me.

"Hey, Noah!" With a sickening grin on his face, he cheered.

"Hey," I said as I kept moving away, attempting to ignore him, when he slammed me into the wall.

"You do realise I can read your mind, right?" As he proceeded to expose his actual form, I rammed a large dose of Vervain into his mouth, causing him to squeal. I began going when he grabbed my wrist and the time potion broke on the floor, forcing the mist to reappear. I shivered within, knowing I had no choice but to survive. I snapped his wrist and head-butted him as I dashed behind Division 3 clutching my chest with my hand. When I turned around, there was no sign of Logan. I let my guard down, assuming I'd lost him, but he materialised in front of me, his skin recovering substantially.

I took a potion from my pocket and began gently heading back.

"How are you going to deal with me?" As I began to strike a wall behind me, I hissed.

"Noah, I'm not going to murder you!" he replied, laughing so loudly that I knew he was a psychopath.

"What are you going to do then?" I screamed just as I was ready to run, but he threw me against the wall, his fingers on my chest, stopping me.

Logan was grinning since my heart was hammering so loudly.

"I'm going to resurrect you." "A monster of the night, just like me," he said softly as he scratched my head with his finger and tasted the blood, his eyes gleaming brilliantly.

"What?" I screamed as I attempted to move but couldn't.

"Well, I can't let you live since you know my secret, but I can't let you die either," he added as he titled my head and sunk his fangs into my neck, draining the life from my body.

I just stood there, trying to make the best decision possible about what I should do next. I cautiously got out some Vervain and ate it as rapidly as I could while Logan was consuming my blood. Logan took a step back and his entire lips began to burn.

"You cunning brat!" As I began sprinting while still holding the potion in my hand, he shouted. Logan slammed me to the ground and began advancing towards me, holding a luminous stake. He sank to his knees and murmured in my ear.

"This is part of my retaliation for what Alessia did to me when she abandoned me for some disgusting wolf. My morbid fascination for her will continue until she gives me the love I ask of her. I will transform her into a Vampire and we love for eternity for you to observe" Logan explained as a tear began to drip from my eyes in sheer terror.

I carefully pushed him away and hastily drank the entire potion, as Logan yelled and forced the stake into my heart, forcing me to shriek in anguish. I grinned and spoke just as I was about to close my eyes.

"You're never going to get Alessia." "She'll find out," I muttered as I closed my eyes and felt the stake's power infuse into me.

"Well, you're not going to be there now, are you?" I closed my eyes and proceeded to immerse myself in the blackness as he whispered.
