9 Chapter nine

[Five Thousand Years ago…Mortal Realm, Weng Dung City.]

"Chai Chai, I don't see what's wrong with you. Besides, as long as I'm alive everything is well right, I heard there's a thousand-year-old jade lotus, it's perfect for its healing profiles and considered a good thing, it's harder to get than the Koi Princess Blessing, after all." Ling Wang explained, "You don't need to worry, I'm not telling Yin Liu anything about this matter, so annoying to me, trying to figure out my name's meaning again."

Qing Chai has gotten used to his Fu Jin's ramblings, often containing lots of information—whether he needs to know about it or not.

"Fu Jin." Qing Chai spoke, "Er Shu didn't seem to agree with the idea, why?"

"Ah, that." Ling Wang spoke, "The last time this thing was heard about, a major internal affair broke out, a lot of people died, and blood was running the rivers more clearly than anything else. But that was only because the Cursed blade happen to be in there—so even the blessing couldn't counter a nasty weapon like that. Luckily your Er Shu already drugged me, so I couldn't deal with bearing the curse, to begin with…"

Qing Chai's eyes darted, "Fu Jin, what are you talking about?"

"I mean, Your Er Shu was using me as his test dummy again, in exchange for good food made by your Er Nan." Ling Wang explained, "Don't worry, at this point, I'm thoroughly immune."

Ling Wang smiled, "In any case, I feel as though…"

Ling Wang suddenly freezes up, seeing her—a girl who looked exactly like his master, her incarnation, Han Lan.

"Qing Chai, don't get any closer to her. We better leave, this isn't any good now." Ling Wang spoke, "Just listen to me before it's too late…"

Han Lan, chuckled, "Lao Bi Gui, it's been a long time."

Qing Chai shivered, "She?"

"Masters incarnation, Han Lan. Everyone who is at least Chief God and above has one, you are not there yet and can't consider your blooded self." Ling Wang explained, "Lan Mei Mei, it's been a while."

"Ah, who's he?" Han Lan inquired.

"Him? He's my son." Ling Wang remarked, "You haven't been around for a good four thousand years, so you don't know about him."

Han Lan choked on her tea, "Your son? B-But how! He's so tall and mostly black hair and looks…nothing like you!"

Ling Wang snarked, "Ah? You dare, you haven't seen him in his natural form, dare to talk bullshit again!"

"Right, Lao Bi Gui, I haven't asked this, because I didn't get to ask last time." Han Lan spoke, "Why does it seem like you purposely hid your name? I mean, your name is important."

"Ah, please. Not even my master knows the true meaning of my name, the only one who does would've been Hua Mei." Ling Wang explained, "But then again, I didn't even tell her—she figured it out for herself."

"Mei Jie Jie?" Han Lan inquired, "Isn't that fair?"

"How is it not fair, she's my second sister-in-law." Ling Wang remarked, "You think I dare offend her? Didn't you remember what happened to the Eastern Dragon King's eldest son, back then? Ah! He became a Xiao Tai Jin!"

"Fu Jin." Qing Chai spoke, "Didn't Mu Chin have a marriage contract with the Eastern Sea Princess?"

"That thing? Please if was nothing more than a drunk promise." Ling Wang replied, "Besides, she couldn't have children at all, a useless loveless marriage if I ever considered it. Besides, a dragon couldn't even contain their core, isn't worthy of such a thing."

"Fu Jin, you're a fish spirit aren't you?" Qing Chai inquired.

"Most think that I don't bother to correct it, after all—isn't it more fun when they suffer for their naive selves and useless ambitions as well." Ling Wang sneered, "Anyways, the auction house is waiting."
