Moda's Request

"His recent known location was Mock town. It is one of the places in the rainforest island called Jaya. It is a lawless town. I heard this about 10 days ago. Not sure if he is still there. Apparently he is increasing his crew. I heard that he has pretty interesting ones in his crew." Toshiro said as he looked at Ace.

Ace had a contemplative look and said, "Thank you for your help, I now have a general direction on which Island he might be."

Toshiro heard this and a smile formed on his face. He looked at Ace and said, "Don't worry you will find him."

"Yea. By the way i saw you practicing with the sword and i can see that you are quite good at that. Saber and Finamore from my crew would be thrilled to have a duel with you." Ace siad while smiling with a nostalgia evident on his face.

"I would love to. It seems like you miss your crew. You are making a face which is hard to not notice. Maybe you should meet them and take a break from your hunt?" Toshiro advised.

"Nah, I am good. They are currently in good hands. The more I delay, the more I feel that I am disappointing Thatch."

"So, what's your name swordsman?" Ace said as he quickly changed the topic.

"Toshiro. And I assume your's is Ace?" Toshiro questioned back.

"Yeah. So you know me? Seems like I am pretty famous right?" Ace said proudly.

"No, I got that from your tatoo on your left arm."Toshiro quickly shot him down and continued, "And what's with 'S' and cross over it? Is it a tatoo mistake coverup?"

"It's a Homage to my brother Sabo. He passed away when we were young. I have another brother Luffy who is doing well for himself and making a name in the paradise." Ace said with a proud smile on his face.

"Luffy? Yeah, I read about him in the newspaper. Apparently he took out a warlord. It is a feat to be proud of." Toshiro commented.

"Yeah, but he got long way to go. Help him out if you come across him, will ya?" Ace said goofily.

"Sure. I will lend him a hand if he is in trouble. But he seem like he can handle himself though." Toshiro agreed.

"Hahahah True that." Ace laughed.

Then both of them talked about various things. Ace spoke about his adventures with his crew and strange places that he visited. Toshiro mostly listened to him.

While they were talking, Moda came back after finishing her chores and started preparing lunch, while Toshiro and Ace helping out in the Farm.

After finishing their lunch Moda looked at both of them and asked, "I have a request for you guys. Will you help me?"

"Sure." Ace said quickly.

"You did not even listen to her request yet." Toshiro commented side glancing Ace.

"Hahahah don't worry I can handle it" Ace said while scratching his head, continued.

Toshiro rolled his eyes and looked at Moda to continue.

"I would like to deliver a letter." Moda said.

"See it's not that hard" Ace said smugly to Toshiro.

Toshiro just groaned and asked Moda, "Where should we deliver the letter?"

"The place is a nearby Island. It is the G2 Base." Moda said with expectation on her Face.

"*chuckle* So, Ace, how about we go and deliver letter to this G2 Marine Base?" Toshiro said playfully to Ace.

Ace just looked surprised. He never expected that, a request from a little girl would lead him to G2 base.

"What happened? " Moda asked looking at what's happening.

"You see Moda, Ace here is a pirate and you just asked him to go to a place where there will be hundreds of trained marines ae stationed." Toshiro explained to her.

"Ah, then I should not have asked you to do this. Sorry." Moda said as she waved her little hands flustering.

"No worries, A man should stand by his words. I will deliver this letter for you." Ace agreed.

"You sure about this? Marines will surround you as soon as they identify you as a pirate." Toshiro asked.

"No problem. I am pretty good with blending in. And I can disguise well too. I am more worried that you might get caught." Ace sneered at Toshiro.

"What if i get caught? I am a ship builder trying to deliver a letter. Not some pirate who wants to be a daredevil." Toshiro countered.

"Alright, its decided then. We will leave in a hour." Ace declared and shot off to the distance.

Toshiro went back in to get his things.

Sengoku and his assistant ae in the office and in front of him a marine was reporting him with recent intelligence.

"Is there anything else?" Sengoku asked.

"Sir, there are some suspicious movements from Blackbeard pirates. Seems like they are planning something big. Intelligence report from paradise shows that they are moving towards Banaro. There was a skirmish with local marines, but no reported deaths." the Marine reported.

'It is indeed very strange. To not kill any marine of the local patrol team, is not like his style at all. Knowing him, he would annihilate the complete team to part away with evidence. It's like he is allowing the marines know where he is headed. What is he playing at?' Sengoku mused.

"Let's keep on observing him. We don't need to chase after him as of now. He killed Whitebeard's crewmate, i doubt they will leave him alone. Let them fight each other, we will reap what we can at that time." Sengoku said.

"Yes, sir." The marine saluted and left.
