Onwards to the Philippines

"Pfff- hehehe," Stifled laughter came out of Aldrich's mouth trying his best to not laugh out loud. Sitting beside him was a pouting white head mixed with frustration.

"You're still not over it...?"

"Okay, I'll stop now." He shrugged but the teasing smile never left his face. Just remembering about it had him wanting to chuckle. 'She's so easy and fun to tease haha. I feel like this will awaken something in me.'

"Hmph, I'm sure I'll also get an opportunity to make fun of you in the future," Kiana threw him with her cheeks puffed up.

'Her cheeks looks like dangos,' He remarked and thought it was quite cute. 'She seems to to have let down her guard around me, seeing as she acts that way when I tease her. Maybe escaping together from such dangerous situation had a hand in that.'

He silently hummed while staring out the airplane window, ignoring the sulking Kiana beside him. They are on their way to the Philippines now.

Aldrich paid for their tickets since Kiana lost her father's credit card which is also why he was teasing her for her carelessness.

It seems she lost it even before meeting him. She lost it after having fun eating at a buffet restaurant, luckily she lost it after paying otherwise she could have been in trouble.

'Heh, but to think I would meet Kiana this early. Is this a coincidence or a fated encounter, I wonder? Well, who knows really, right?' He glanced at a certain direction with a slight smile as if staring at someone.

Constant beeping of computers can be heard and numerous screen displayed different views or information.

"Hmm," The man seated in front of these screens hummed. In the screen in front of him was the image of Kiana and Aldrich with information about them.

January 1, 2010 – During his birthday, honkai activities rose up significantly causing a minor eruption in Brandenburg. His parents were killed by honkai beasts. He later went into several orphanages before suddenly disappearing without a trace.

October 12, 2013 – After traveling to Haiti and enjoying Kokoye Beach, he encountered a minor honkai eruption and met Subject K-423. Currently, the two are traveling together in a plane heading to the Philippines.

"Aldrich Sieghart...Interesting," The man smiled, the screen's light shone on his long blonde hair with his green eyes gleaming in intrigue.

"Continue monitoring them, Amber."

"Yes, Lord Otto." Replied the woman staunchly standing beside the man. She was a woman with long white hair that is tied into a singular braid. Her eyes wasn't clearly visible due to the yellow tinted visor she wore.

If Aldrich was here, he would comment that this woman had great resemblance with his companion.

"Huhu, it seems another actor has joined." The man, Otto, chuckled while staring at Aldrich's profile. "How amusing kukuku."

"From now on, this will be your home and you can just call me, Matushka."

The two kids stared at the mansion behind the woman with different expression. The black haired girl was astonished while the boy had a neutral expression.

"...You don't seem too excited, do you not like it?" The woman gently smiled at the boy and asked curiously.

He returned a reply immediately, "It's not a matter of like. I just want to know if you can make me strong."

He clenched his fists after remembering the tragedy on his birthday. What should be a happy celebration turned into a tragedy.

"...Of course," The woman assured. "After all, it is our goal to eradicate the honkai."

"Honkai?" He asked.

That's what caused that tragedy to happen."

"Honkai huh..." The boy's eyes momentarily flashed with sharpness.

Aldrich released a sigh.

"Those dreams again..."

He glanced beside him, there he saw Kiana leaning her head on his shoulders while deeply asleep. Her clothes were a bit loose which inaverdently gave way for some 'intesresting' sights.

Looking at her defenseless demeanor, he once again sighed.

"She's too defenseless," He carefully reached out for the jacket in his lap and draped it over her gently before staring out the window, once again falling into deep thought.

He thought back to those bits of memories that started coming back to him along with those dreams. He was finally starting to get an idea of his identity in this world.

'And did I really transmigrate or reincarnated into this world? If it's the latter it would explain the memories,' He mused to himself silently.

He was starting to think that it wasn't a simple transmigration and taking over another's body. It was too simple for that to be the case and most of all, it was because of the description of the essence he took according to his memories.

'A free, one-time cosmetic body resculpt to your ideal or desired appearance...' He thought about that description. 'If I really transmigrated then I should have been presented with the option to modify my desired appearance. Instead I was already given this one and what's more suspicious is it's exactly the look I had in mind.'

Of course there's also the possibility that he did design the appearance he wants but couldn't remember upon transmigration but that's unlikely since he remembers clearly taking the essence.

'I guess I can only wait huh...'

As he was on deep thought, he didn't notice the slight movement of Kiana whose lips turned into a small smile.
