5 Hargeon

I stepped out of the ship as fast as I could, I did not want to spend another second on it. I was so sick of the sea and ships, I didn't want to see another one again. Spending weeks in the sea helped with that...

I wanted to kiss the ground, I couldn't help it, that's how much I missed it.

'I am here at last!' I thought as I looked at the port town. It looked peaceful.

I took a long breath and couldn't help but smile, 'This land feels much better, the air smells different, the aura it gives... I prefer it over the other countries.'

I didn't look back at the ship, afraid that I would throw up...

I had dumped everything in inventory after I had found a mirror to access the system. I had not done that while escaping because I was afraid I would need it; While traveling there was no such problem.

This meant that I only carried a small mirror with some money at hand which I had gotten by selling the jewelry. The merchant tried to fool me but he did buy them at a fair price while his neck was exposed to my ether sword. I had converted the money to Jewels of Fiore on the last stop in Minstrel.

I was carrying roughly 120 million Jewels(Worth roughly 1.2 million USD) in my inventory and 100 thousand(1000$) on my hand.

I had bought a black coat, pants and etc. wearing them made me look like a very handsome but thin man who had long hair. The hair was in a ponytail since it was annoying but I let some front parts loose.

I also wore a black mask to hide the lower part of my face. The stares were annoying, I had to beat up a few dozen people trying to... well, the lesson was learned, the world is a fucked up place no matter where you go.

I sighed and banished those thoughts out of my head, 'I hope they learn their lesson,' I thought and wondered if I should have killed them instead of breaking most of their bones, I shook my head and decided to tour the town.

Hargeon looked exactly like the portrayed model in the anime, but of course, a real version of it. I enjoyed everything from the architecture to the cool breeze. This world had some interesting buildings, whether in Pergrande or Fiore, everywhere was unique.

My thoughts wandered on to my latest magical improvements, I had only focused on improving my control over magic power since any other form of training was not possible in the sea... I had improved at the beginning but a bottleneck of sorts stopped me.

I couldn't improve past it which meant I had to find a way to get over it. I had no idea how though. Which made me very excited to explore magic in Fiore.

I knew that the only way was to learn more about magic, my power was great but without proper skill, it wouldn't be able to bring out all its potential. I could use magic but I was not skilled enough; At least compared to the wizards who had dedicated their lives to magic.

The only thing I had going on for me was the raw power which was S-Class and kinda overpowered anyone I encountered, whether the guards in Pergrande or the pirates on the sea. May they rest in peace.

I knew that the moment I encountered a skilled enemy with enough magic power to not get overwhelmed, I would be in trouble. So I didn't get arrogant.

As for the guilt of killing the guards; I came to terms with it.; I knew being guilty wouldn't bring them back and I didn't regret my actions. So I promised to myself to not kill anyone innocent ever again, this made the guilt slowly vanish through the weeks.

The novelty of being in Hargeon faded after an hour of roaming around, I found a hotel and rented a room. Without further ado, I collapsed on the bed, drifting off to sleep. I was tired and missed sleeping on a bed that wouldn't move.

BOOM!

I woke up, the sound of something exploding in the distance was quite clear and loud, enough to awaken me.

I quickly opened the window to see what was going on, the sky was dark but I could still see smoke in the distance. Focusing a little more, I could see some fire around as well.

I was surprised, 'Am I that lucky? What are the odds of that...'

I quickly put on my clothes and jumped out of the window, in less than a minute I reached the site. People had gathered around and I saw tens of guards and a few rune knights.

I focused and saw a shattered wall, inside a man had collapsed quite injured, he had a mark on his forehead and had dark purple hair while wearing slightly ridiculous clothes.

'Bora...' I recognized him.

He was arrested and taken away, I didn't pay him much more attention though. I turned away and run toward the beach.

When I reached there, there was no one. I wasn't disappointed though, 'I missed them, huh? Doesn't matter, I will see them in the future.'

I was super curious to see the main characters of this world, how they looked like and if they truly behaved the way the anime showed it.

I had thought hours about what all this meant, me being in a fictional world but it didn't take long to reach a conclusion. If I was here then it meant it was real, as for what that meant for the earth and the shows/mangas and etc. I knew I didn't have enough information to figure it out so I decided to ignore such things.

I turned and walked back to the hotel, but couldn't sleep again. I was excited. However, I had no clue what to do. The plan had always been to reach Fiore but when I was there, I was clueless on what to do.

'How should I approach this... With a shard, I can do anything; If I manage to get a few and make a harem in this world; I will then have power, love, and everything one could ever want... that will be ideal... But how?' I wondered.

I wasn't a virgin on Earth but the situation was different, the girls on earth were different compared to girls like Erza. With different values and likes.

On Earth, most liked money and power, with those most girls would say yes and even fall in love. Some were only interested in looks and how handsome someone was and others had unique things going on. There were things on earth like music, movies and etc. that didn't exist in this world as prominently.

But despite knowing the future and characters, I had no idea how romance worked here... I decided to focus on my target with everything I had.

'Let's see what Erza likes... Strawberry cakes...' I drew a blank beside that.

'How did she fall in love with Jellal...' I wondered and tried hard to remember.

'It was in the tower of heaven... He was basically a kind boy with charisma before turning evil because of Ultear... I think it was when he called her hair beautiful or something... I can't be sure, though. Ughhh!' My head was beginning to ache.

I had just realized it was not so easy, but at least I realized that some things were a must if I wanted to succeed.

'I need to make sure nothing restarts between her and Jellal after Tower of Heaven.'

I looked at the stars and leaned on the window with a sigh, 'The biggest problem is that I have a girl's body at the moment. Fuck!'

'How should I make it that she gets attracted to girls... I will just be myself. The system stated that she had to fall in love with me, there is no other way, if she has to fall in love with me, It has to be my true self or the system might not accept... But how should I approach the steps from here on...'

I knew based on the explosion from before, that I was at the start of the series, I didn't have that long before things would move forward. The most crucial point was going to be the Tower of Heaven. That was where I had to play my cards, I knew that.

'But what cards?!' I groaned in frustration.

'I am overthinking things, there is no logic to love... The more I try to be logical about this, the more the probability of it backfiring at me exists. I will just try and let things happen naturally. Even if I fail, I have tasted magic and that alone makes this life worth it.' I finally decided but then something occurred to me.

'Why am I trying so hard anyway?' I realized that I had completely and utterly devoted myself to the whim of the system. Traveling across the world and trying to make someone I had never even seen close by fall in love with me.

I couldn't help but laugh, 'I have free will, the reward might be great but I won't become a slave to this system. How else will I be able to enjoy what I have? Will I even like Erza? I had never seen or interacted with her myself...'

That was when I decided to let things happen naturally, a Harem had to be made with pure love otherwise the members would kill each other over jealousy and such.

I shook my head as I imagined myself with great powers due to rewards but stuck with girls who wanted to kill each other and compete, it would be maybe fun at first but then become hellish for sure.

So I changed my focus, 'Instead of focusing on this, I should try to master my magic and become the best wizard that I can be. As for Erza, the only thing I can do about it is to meet her and see where it goes...'

I started feeling sleepy so I lied down and soon fell asleep, deciding to go and search for some good magic books tomorrow.

That day, I learned something very important by accident. A Life Lived for the system and its rewards, was not an enjoyable life.
