Prologue

Millions of years ago, the world was invaded by beasts with unimaginable powers. They wreaked havoc all over the world, destroying everything in their path. They were called demonic beasts, and they were feared by all living beings. But everything in this world has a way of balancing itself. Powers of ancient origin were granted to humans, who were the weakest and most oppressed creatures. A wave of powerful humans called mages emerged, capable of unleashing spells of destructive capabilities. They fought and suppressed these demonic beasts with an energy called mana, which flowed through their veins and souls.

Taking advantage of this stalemate and with the relentless pursuit of improvement and knowledge, they made a language to express the ways to describe the flow of mana. They called it runes, and it was the essence of magic. Thus emerged a new generation of mages called runemasters, who were capable of imprinting powers to a piece of parchment and creating complicated array formations that used a mana stone to amplify the power of runes and weapons. Runemasters were the elite of the mages, and they were respected and admired by everyone.

The reign of demonic beasts came to an end as the mages got stronger and more advanced. A new wave of runic equipment, scrolls and enchantments that allowed anyone to use the powers of a mage became widespread. They were used for various purposes, such as warfare, agriculture, industry, medicine, and entertainment. The world entered a new era of peace and prosperity, where different continents, different cultures, and various trade routes coexisted harmoniously. The world was truly prosperous, and people were happy and content.

This newfound peace, however, broke the balance of the world. And thus another cataclysmic event befell onto the world. This time it was not demonic beasts, but humans themselves. Some humans, who were corrupted by greed and jealousy, fell for the charm of a demon's whispers. They exchanged their souls and morals for power, and they turned to the evil side. They formed evil organizations, groups, and cults, and they unleashed chaos and terror upon the world. They used dark magic, forbidden runes, and cursed artifacts to harm and enslave others. They sought to revive the demonic beasts and the demon lord, who was the source of all evil.

Continents fought each other, kingdoms rose and fell, humans fought each other, good and evil collided. The world once again became chaotic, and blood and tears stained the land. The mages and runemasters, who were once the saviors of the world, became the targets of the evil forces. They had to defend themselves and their allies, while also trying to stop the evil plot of the demon lord's revival. The fate of the world hung in the balance, and the final battle was inevitable.

That was the prologue of the novel that I read in my past life. I was a programmer, a hacker, and an expert in various technology fields. Someone who lived in the 21st century, where science and technology ruled the world. I was a fan of fantasy novels, and I enjoyed reading them in my spare time. I had a perfect photographic memory, which allowed me to remember every detail of everything that i see including this novel that i read.

One day, suddenly, I recalled all this information. The weirdest part was that I was a character in this novel, someone even the author had forgotten about. I was not the main character, or even a side character. I was just a minor character, who appeared briefly in the first volume and then disappeared forever.

The author introduced me as a support character, who was a friend and a classmate of the main character at the academy. The academy was a place where young mages and runemasters learned and trained their skills.

'The main character of the story was a typical protagonist, who had a mysterious background, a hidden potential, and a lot of plot armor. The MC Evan Frost was born in a small village in the eastern continent, where people lived peacefully and harmoniously. His parents were both runemasters, and they taught him the basics of runes and magic ever since he was a child. He had a natural talent for Magic, Runes and swordsmanship, and he was fascinated by the mysteries of mana and the world. He dreamed of becoming a great mage one day, and exploring the different lands and cultures.

However, his peaceful life was shattered when he was 10 years old. A group of dark mages, who were part of a cult that worshipped the demon lord, attacked his village. They slaughtered everyone in their path, and plundered the resources and runic equipments. They captured the villagers, including Evan's parents, and killed then away as sacrifices. Evan had managed to escape, but he was wounded and traumatized by the attack. He swore to avenge his parents and his village, and to stop the evil cult from reviving the demon lord.

He wandered around the continent, looking for clues and allies. He learned more about runes and magic, and improved his skills and knowledge. He also encountered various dangers and challenges, such as demonic worshippers, bandits, and corrupt officials. He made some friends and enemies along the way, and one day, he discovered the inheritance of an ancient mage which allowed him to decipher the secrets hidden in his bloodline and helped awaken his hidden potential, with that awakening, he understood why the evil cult is targetting him, he was the last direct descendant of the mage who sealed the essence of deamon lord in ancient times, and his blood is the key for descend of the demon lord., this brought him a realization of how powerless he was and the urge to become stronger, much more powerful than anyone.

In search of aquiring knowledge and power, he entered the academy, he got ridiculed by the arrogant and wealthy students, but he overcame them with his hard work and luck. He gained the favor of major characters, mostly girls of influential families, who became his love interests and allies. He also found some hidden items and secrets, which helped him to grow stronger and unlock his true power. He won against the first volume's boss and hidden boss, who were the leaders of the evil organization that tried to kidnap him for his special bloodline when he was a child. Hekilled the cult leader and his followers, and ended their threat.

After that, Evan and his self-righteous team graduated from the academy with honors, and then few of them went on their separate ways to join guilds and mercenary teams. They had their own adventures and challenges, but they also kept in touch and helped each other. Evan still feeling weak went on to raid various tombs and aquired powerful weapons and magic spells to improve further.

And at some point in the story, they joined together to stop the descent of the demon lord, who was about to awaken from his slumber and destroy the world. But they failed, and the demon lord was revived. They had to fight him in a final showdown, where they used all their skills, runes, and artifacts. They barely managed to defeat him, and saved the world. They became heroes and legends, and they lived happily ever after.'

You might be wondering where I fit into this. Well, as I said, I don't. The author introduced me as a support character, who in the first volume dropped out of the academy due to financial problems to become a runemaster.

A runemaster was someone who specialized in creating and repairing runes and runic equipment. I became a runic shop owner, and I was supposed to create various runes and artifacts that helped the main character and his team in their later adventures. But that never happened in the novel. The author forgot about me, and I never appeared again. I was just a forgotten character, who had no impact on the story.

After the story became a hit, the author briefly mentioned that he forgot to include me, the support character, in the later part of the novel. He apologized to the readers, and said that he would write a spin-off or a sequel that would feature me and my story. But he never did, and I remained forgotten.

In my past life, I read this novel as a timepass, and I didn't care much about my role. I just enjoyed the story, and moved on to the next one. But my perfect photographic memory allowed me to remember the character setup and the author's mistakes perfectly.

And now, I have to live with this knowledge, in this world that is based on the novel that I read.

What will I do? How will I survive? Will I ever meet the main character and his team? Will I ever have a chance to change the story? Or will I remain a forgotten character, who has no fate and no destiny?
