Disappearances

The beings had dissected and examined the corpse of Welt and had found a fist sized orb in the place where the heart should be. After a few tests, they found out that the orb was the object that powered Welt's abilities.

They extracted the orb and performed hundreds of experiments and operations with it, firstly to remove any kind of trace that might enable the orb to be still by anyway be controlled by Welt's will. Secondly, to discover how he used his different abilities and lastly as a way to power the most powerful computer on their planet.

After nearly 3 human years, during which they didn't invade Earth or any other planet to upgrade the Mimics and also their own bodies to prevent getting defeated by some "Enhanced Human". In this time, they had finally integrated the orb to their supercomputers which had shown extremely few chances of malfunction or getting controlled by Welt. They now used that computer as a server for their time rewinding and also as a way to operate everysingle troop of their from their own home planet.

In an empty hall which was made up of fleshy walls, a four legged being was walking with it's two arms in the shape of sharp swords ready to kill anything that would be trespassing here. Suddenly two humanoid creatures started shooting towards the being. The creatures looked a lot like humans except they had blue skin and long ears.

These creatures were a warrior race, whose planet were now being invaded by the Mimics, but due to the extreme abilities of the species, they were able to infiltrate into the base of the Beings, trying to prevent their home planet's destruction by the Beings.

But the Beings were also not weak. All the bullets from humanoids guns reflected off of the tough skin of Being, it then bended it's legs and jumped towards the Humanoids, ripping apart their throats in a single slash.

The being observed the body for a few seconds before ordering a cleaning and a reinforcements team in his location. But not a single message was sent into their hive mind, as being blocked by something. It was about to inspect it's own connection to the hive mind when suddenly dozens of more humanoids started shooting at him.

The Being was confused, one or two can slip through the cracks of security but dozens of humanoids not being detected? That is impossible. It is as if the Security System is not working.

But the Being suddenly stopped in its tracks. Security System. The Security System is the part of the massive supercomputer that also helps maintain the traffic of their hive mind and also maintain the defense systems of the base. Basically it controls everything. The Being immediately turned around and was about to personally inform the others about the Supercomputer acting on its own when suddenly it fell down to the ground.

It's already stone cold eyes looked even more dead right now, because it is. The mind of the Being has collapsed sending the Being into a near-death state. The Humanoids stop firing towards the Being and wait to see what happened.

A fleshy silhouette suddenly grows out of the walls and grabs the Being, pulling it into the wall. The Wall bubbles up a little before the body of the Being was swallowed up completely.

That day, nearly a hundred Beings went missing from the Base. But suspiciously not a single investigation was put into place, everyone thinking the only reason would be due to the Humanoids who had infiltrated their Base has killed them.

Even though it was completely illogical and impossible for the Humanoids to do it, the Beings still blindly followed this reasoning.

But the Humanoids were also not without losses. Rather, they suffered more heavier losses than the Beings. Out of the 1000s who had infiltrated the Base only 74 had remained alive. The corpses of the dead Humanoids were also not found because of being swallowed up by the fleshy walls.

But the Humanoids also blindly believed the fact that they easily killed the Beings and that their dead comrades were because of the Beings and not because of the sudden flesh swords, bullet punctures and mind collapses.

While at the center of the Base, the Supercomputer monitored a small hidden room where hundreds of corpses of the Beings were stored and also the corpses of the Humanoids were being turned into a liquid catalyst right under the noses of the Beings and the Humanoids.
