This was the better situation to get rid of the Shaman but he didn't know his new enemy powers to be incautious over him. So he let them go. That weapon was a thing he need to be aware of and so the fact that he could be resistant or even immune to fire now.

"This is becoming more troublesome than the Slimes."

The Slimes weren't so troublesome but the Golden Slime fusion was. So he kept that in mind as a Slime problem.

"Asking about Dark Knights with Olivia?", he said out loud to think. "She would panick probably. So I'm on dark now. That's it."

"I was. Now I'll go hunt something to eat.", he replied.

"Don't want something from mine?", she offered.

"I need to pass for the same as you to be by your side.", he smiled. "See you around."

"You have eight days to complete.", she shouted as he left.

Eight days. That meant they would return on the nineth. Till there he would have defeated the nest. What he needed to do was thin their defenses and keep that way. So he kept this in mind and put some thoughts on what were the goblins advantages.

"Darkvision.", he spoke. "There wasn't light on the cave at all.", and he stopped as he saw a deer. "What I'm doing? It's too much meat.", he was about to scare the animal when. "The inventory can store it. I'm sorry."

It was time to test his accuracy throwing daggers. He prepared two of them to use. He needed to hit two legs of the beast or would be meaningless. He breathed in and while releasing the air threw the first dagger. With a faster breathing he threw the second. Both hit the left side of the deer and the animal accelerated into the forest.

Track down a beaten animal was easy and he started to follow the blood on the ground. He knew that was a little cruelty but was for food and not for entertainment. So he found the beast lying on the floor but on its side was a much greater deer. Its horns were like connected to the sky and stars.

"You did this to a child of the forest?", a voice came from the giant deer.

"Yes.", he answered.

"So you've come here to finish the job?"

"Yes."

"Go on.", the giant deer gave him space to approach.

Leo removed the daggers and tries to calm down the beast.

"It'll be over soon.", he spoke to its prey. He grabbed a dagger and swiftly ended the creature's life. "It's done.", he said to the giant being.

"What are you going to do with its body?"

"Food.", he responded. "Enough for a few days."

"I understand.", the deer started to leave.

"Why are you here?", the boy was fascinated by that being.

"To protect the forest."

"So why didn't you stopped me?", he was confused.

"Your actions are not selfish. You hunted it for food and not for enjoyment. You even looked troubled by killing it. You are a good kid. You have not debts with the forest."

"And the goblins?"

"Netiher they are. It is only the circle of life.", the creature was satisfied with the boy's enthusiasm and left.

A time passed till he was able to keep going. Then he made the food and stocked on his inventory. He took all the parts of the animal to not make its death less worth and then made a proper burial for the animal. The dawn was near and so he went to the cave.
