Chapter 18

I stood there, staring at the wall through her. Still not believing what I just did. She was also silent.

"Was it too soon?"

Aster: Toru I-

I couldn't finish my sentence. I felt Toru's amazingly soft lips lock my own. I even felt her warm tongue pry open my lips. Being surprised by her boldness, she got the upper hand.

I got pushed down the bed without our lips breaking contact. I was amazed by the pleasant feeling of her whole lithe body pressing against my own with her complete weight.

"I can't call myself a man if I let her do everything!"

Overcoming my surprise, I hugged her soft waist with one arm while I put my other hand on the back of her head. With that, I twisted our bodies and got on top of her while being careful not to let my weight press her. We stayed like that for a while, fighting with our tongues. At some point, I started loosing control of my body. My reasoning got clouded and was about to take the next step and do something more, until the sound of kitchenware falling down was heard from the lower floor.

Hearing that, I woke up and both Toru and I separated while gasping for breath.

"That scared the shit out of me!"

I looked at Toru and judging by her pose, she seemed kind of embarrassed.

Toru: Ne Aster... You can take that as my answer...

I smiled like an idiot and hugged her.

Aster: I'm happy that you feel the same.

I whispered.

Toru: Just so you know though, my mother probably saw us.

Terror. Simple, pure, overwhelming terror coursed through my being.

Aster: W-w-w-what? H-h-how?

Toru: Remember that my mom can see every light spectrum, as well as bend light. With that, she can see through or even around objects.

I held my head with both hands.

Aster: Aaaaahhh this is so embarrassing! What am I gonna do? What is SHE going to do to ME?

Toru put her hand on my cheek, calming me a bit.

Toru: Relax! She probably made that sound to stop us since we were being carried away. Sadly...

She whispered the last part and I couldn't hear her.

Toru: I would be more concerned if my dad had found out, but my mom is more understanding so don't worry.

I sighed and resigned to my fate.

Aster: If you say so.

Toru: We should probably sleep though. We have to go to the academy tomorrow.

Aster: You're right. Hope I'll survive the night.

"I'm more worried about Aurelia than the Stalker"

I was about to get up but remembered something.

Aster: Oh I almost forgot!

I approached her and kissed her forehead.

Aster: Goodnight Toru!

She let out a cute giggle.

Toru: Goodnight handsome!

I quickly left her room so that she wouldn't see my blushing. Sighing I went to the guestroom and dropped on the bed.

"I'm too excited to sleep..."

The night passed peacefully and morning came.

I woke up and after I got prepared, I nervously went down. Taketora treated me the same as always so I guess Aurelia didn't tell him. She on the other hand, was very warm towards me. This perplexed me but decided to stop thinking about it since I wouldn't get an answer any time soon.

As soon as I saw Toru, I gave her my best smile. She sat next to me without saying anything besides good morning. Though while we were having breakfast, she held my hand for a bit under the table. I don't know why, but that gesture really warmed my heart.

Finishing up, we went to school early and prepared for the lessons. Aizawa came in and told us we were going to the USJ today.

"Ah shit! With everything that happened, I forgot that it was today!"

Everyone was excited but me. I already knew what would happen. He gave us the supersuits and we boarded a bus.

While we were going, I started formulating a plan of action. I didn't want to let things proceed like the anime. It was also a good chance to fight without resorting to vigilantism.

We arrived and the hero 13 gave us the speech about using our quirks to help others and not hurt. My senses were working overtime as I got prepared for anything.

13: Ok everyone, first we will start with fire!

But nothing happened. No villains popping out, no lights switching off, nothing.

"Is it possible that I did something that altered the course of things.

We went to the area that simulated burning buildings and 13 started explaining the things we should pay attention to in such a scenario.

In the end, we divided different roles to everyone according to their quirk and did a good job.

Seeing that the bad guys aren't coming, I started enjoying myself learning about rescue techniques and such.

After a few different scenarios, we were about to have a lunch break when the lights flickered and then the power throughout the facility was cut off.

Aster: So they finally decided to come.

But instead of the black warpgate, a single figure materialised in the open field.

The stalker was there. With his signature scythe in hand he looked directly at me.

Everyone was surprised at his appearance. Some wondered if he was a villain. 13 got into a defensive stance.

Stalker: Your actions have consequences tenno. Some have walked through desolate worlds while you have slept. Now here we are, your final moments walking through the world of the living.

He spoke with a rough voice.

Aster: Why are you chasing me? And how are you here?!

Hearing me say that, Toru pieced together that he was the one that attacked me yesterday while the others looked at me for answers.

Stalker: I am the ghost of retribution Tenno. You may forget but you are not innocent.

Aster: I don't even understand what you mean?!

Katsuki: Oi! Are you picking a fight? Stupid! We are 22 while you are alone.

It looks like he finally acknowledged the existence of the others.

Stalker: I came only for him.

He pointed at me.

Stalker: The rest of you have other problems.

Kurogiri's black portal appeared in the center of the facility and the small fry villains kept coming.

As I was thinking what to do, a portal appeared under my feet. Before I could say anything, I fell through, but I wasn't the only one.
