1 Side Story: An ancient legend

"Grandpa! Grandpa!, tell us a story please. We roamed and played here all day and we are bored. How we wish for the trip to be over soon, Sigh!!!"

"Kids these days, getting impatient and the slightest chance. Hmph, if the new generation of the council is like this, how will we be able to resist the enemies in the future?"

"Fine! Fine!, my old bones. I will tell you a story"

"Listen well and no interruption in the middle. Long long ago, long before even the mythical era, no , long before that, even before the supposed ancient era, there existed a civilization far far different from ours. They didn't have magic, nor did they have the affinity of elements nor their protection and blessing. What was even worse was that the elements of that time was very dangerous. Still it didn't affect them. They were so strong, that they could destroy Stars using a snap of their fingers, without using any forms of energy. They were protected by a Goddess since the ancient times. It is said that she could destroy the entire cosmos if she wanted to. With the passage of time, as their power grew, so did their ambition. They hatched a sinister plan to snatch the Goddess's power. They pretended to be her most loyal subordinates for years, until they found a chance to strike. On the day of the Star Summoning festival, they secretly striked her, when her powers were unstable. They destroyed her physical body as well as crippled and drained her core and circuits. She died that day".

"Grandpa! Grandpa!, did she really die, someone as strong as her and what about that civilization? If they were so strong why did they not survive till date?"

"I said not to interrupt, hmph, I won't continue today. I am not in the mood anymore".

"Please Grandpa, Please continue, I we will help massage your back for a week"

"Fine. I have a bad habit of repeating 'Fine'. By some miracle, the weak spiritual body of her survived for sometime. She used the last vestiges of her own existence to curse everyone, the curse destroyed all lifeforms. I don't know what happened after that, and..."

"Grandpa, how do you know all this. Even our teachers in the academy didn't ever say anything about a legend such as that"

"20 years ago, we found an ancient archeological site. When we were investigating, my consciousness was sucked into an unknown space. There, a voice spoke in my mind and said all this.
