Kill the Monster

"I will be the one to carry the bag loaded with arrows. I can do this." Peitho takes the bag and carries it on her back.

"I didn't think your sister is that—"

"Don't talk or I will smack you." Simon looks at Hero pointing to Peitho. Hero just shrugged his shoulders and went to Albino.

"Hey sister, make sure to lock all the windows and doors okay? We will knock three times if we want to head in." Reyana giggles after what Albino had said.

"Silly. I will come running to where you are to give the sword to Hero. I will make sure to make it on time." Hero held the dagger that was forged with a red gem. Simon gave it to him as he knew that he would use it for killing. Hero knew that he could kill the monsters with this however, there is something kept bothering him about the smokevine monsters.

Five am was about to strike and the four of them finally parted ways. Simon and Peitho found a good spot to use the rifle and the bow. They are now ready for an attack and all they are just waiting is for Hero's signal. They are waiting for the males to come out from the nest. However, there is something unexpected happened. The male smokevine monsters are not leaving, they are staying and looking at their mates. They are waiting for their mates to give birth!

"How does this happen?" Hero's eyes widen as he looks at the monsters. He held the dagger tight and gave a signal to Simon that they weren't allowed to fire causing them to be confused.

"Uhm, Sir. Sir Hero. Look behind you." It could hear how Albino's voice was trembling in fear. Hero looks behind him and his eyes widen after seeing what is in front of him. He immediately carried Albino away from the place causing the baby monster to scream and the adults to hear it.

'Sh.t one has given birth so early! That is why they were all staying to watch their mates!' he thought to himself as he kept on running and brought Albino to a safe place.

The male smokevine monsters started to group. There are currently five groups consisting of six monsters causing Hero to click his tongue in frustration.

'What now? This is fvckung dangerous! Especially if all female monsters will give birth at the same time!'

"Albino." He called him causing him to look at him. "Find a spot you can hide and where you can use your weapon. Always remember that you are just a support, if you can sense that danger will come, run as quickly as possible and go towards Simon. Do you hear me?" Albino nodded in response and dashed away from him.

He looks at the baby monster crawling toward him and jumps toward its head to behead him however, baby smokevine monsters are much quicker than the adults. He almost caught Hero but fortunately, he escaped and landed properly on the rock.

He kicks the monster once again, sliding his dagger trying to cut its part of the body but the baby monster keeps on defending himself in quick movements.

When Simon saw that Hero already fighting against the baby monster, his eyes widened in surprise but still decided to attack. He shoots one female monster in the neck two times causing her head to fall. The male monsters have seen it causing them to part ways trying to find where the bullet came from.

Peitho immediately released a mass of arrows and hit it on the monster's legs causing them to almost stumble. As per Hero's order, they are only focusing on killing the female monsters. Luckily male the monsters still haven't found their spot yet. Hero on the other hand has finally killed the baby monster.

He jumps to the trees to look below. He saw five male monster groups with six members. But what is more, made him that there were about thirty-five female monsters scattered in the forest, and only three females that still have been killed.

In Hero's memories of his past, female monsters formed in one group if they gave birth why the female monsters are scattered around the forest? Do the female monsters have a sense of what was happening after the baby monster screamed? or the baby monster's scream is a sign that he is trying to warn the adults?

Hero went down and ran as fast as he could and went towards one group and tried to slice each of their heads however he was only able to kill two. The other four monsters did their best to try to take Hero's body but they can't as he also did his best to be faster enough to escape.

Hero jumps toward one monster and beheads it leaving three. Because of the dagger, added his skill in fighting causing him to easily kill them but his expectations betrayed him.

In every group, there will always be a leader. When Hero can kill the other two, he looks at the last member of the group. He was standing there looking at Hero killing his members. When he finishes killing them, Hero looks at the strange Smokevine and it begins to scream.

The monster's nails began to sharper and longer causing Hero to have a scratch because of the wind. The leader of the group can make a gust of wind sharp as a new knife that if ever you've caught by it, your body will immediately cut into pieces.

Hero held his arms when it is started bleeding. His right arm was almost cut because of his sharp index fingernails that reached his arm. He didn't give up. He jumps towards him and can cut his arms causing the monster to growl in pain. It made an attack once again and this time, Hero was not able to avoid the attack. His body was cut into halves and his eyes widened in surprise.

His two bodies jumped on the ground. 'What just happened?'
