chapter 23: Another Strange Encounter

After Orion's training with Athena, he continued his daily routine, he was currently dealing with villains in Russia.

Even though several people were at risk, he focused on the villains, taking them down with a single punch, and using the power of the Jade Emperor to nullify their magic.

Afterward, he uses the power of Inari, Xiwangmu, Amaterasu, and Zafkiel to heal and restore the city.

He also used the power of Zadkiel to drop the temperature that had been raised to a dangerous level back to Russia's subzero level.

The people cheered and even the Russian heroes present at the scene, had to admit he knew what he was doing, and he was good at it.

"He's very impressive" a hero with spikes around his body spoke, he was known as the 'Gladiator' Arnold fusher, and he was Warrior class, he had superhuman physical strength and the spikes around his body acted as a form of defense.

"His power is incredible, is he even human, can a human possess so many abilities" a woman with black hair, black sclera, and white iris spoke, her hero costume was black with white asset, this was the shadow heroine Veronika Sergey, she's in Mage Class and she has dark magic (the ability to mend and manipulate shadow).

"Either way, it doesn't matter, I can't place it or find any reason to, but I just think he has an ulterior motive," a police officer at the scene said.

Orion approached them afterward "You were incredible, not only did you take down those villains in one punch, but also fixed the damage and healed the people, magnificent!" Arnold said in English, heavy on the Russian accent.

"It's ok to speak to me in your mother's tongue," Orion said in clear, fluent Russian, surprising them.

"You speak Russian?" Veronika asked in English.

"I speak all languages, even those forgotten" Orion replied, ok, even Orion had to admit that sounded weird.

"Ooookkaay, anyways, good job out there" she congratulated him.

"Same for you guys, not only did you isolate the villains to minimize collateral damage, but you were also able to protect the civilians before I arrived, so good job, both of you" he spoke in his usual charming and strong voice.

"Eh, thanks" Arnold tried not to blush at the compliment.

"I must be going, I am needed elsewhere," Orion said, and just like that, he took off.

"Wow, he really is cool," Veronika said.

"Tsk, I've seen better," the officer said, but secretly he thought 'OMG! I was so close to Orion and he was too amazing'.

Meanwhile.

It was already getting late, and the sun had long set, as Orion made his way home, his trouble sense flared and he knew someone was in danger, following the sense, he found a girl being beaten up by "Heroes" he said in shock.

In an instant, he got between them and pushed the heroes away, saving the girl.

"What is the meaning of this?!" he demanded, clearly upset.

"ORION, get away from that monster, she's a villain!" one of the heroes said, there were two of them, both males.

"There is no greater evil than a lack of compassion, what has she done that would warrant this kind of treatment from heroes no less" he asked, his voice was sharp and his face was agitated.

Fearing that he might attack them, "She killed people" the second male hero replied, he wore a cape and green costume.

The girl was crying the whole time, she whined even harder "I didn't mean to" she sobbed.

"Silent!" the first hero spoke in a harsh voice; he wore a glass and black coat.

"You two are really trying my patience, it is clear that you don't know how to handle this situation, I will take care of this, leave at once" he ordered.

"No can do Orion, we've been ordered to bring her in for questioning and to take justice on those she has killed," the caped hero said in a not-so-hero-like voice.

"I'm in no mood for the both of you, leave now," he said, but it appeared that the heroes weren't listening.

*Sigh* "Fine then," he said, immediately two chains sprouted out and tied them up.

"Hey, you can't do this," the hero with glasses said.

"Yeah, we're pro heroes," the hero with the cape said, struggling to move.

"Don't insult me!" Orion said in a harsh and deep voice, giving a strong glare at the heroes.

"Heroes? you two aren't worth such a title" he got closer to them, the fierceness of Longwong gaze, making him super intimidating, add his glowing blue eyes, and he hit maximum terror, both of the tied heroes were already pissing themselves.

"A hero is someone that protects and serves others, helping someone in need, but what do I find you two doing? You decided to add to the problem!" he was now hovering above the chained-up bodies lying on the floor, both shivering in fear.

"It's people like you that give heroes a bad name, you two are no heroes" At this point they both blacked out in fear.

Turning around Orion saw the girl shivering in fear, 'I guess I spooked her as well' he thought as he approached her, she slithered away until she was right against the wall, and she was crying hard again.

"Please don't hurt me" she cried.

"Please, don't be scared, I won't hurt you" he spoke in a calm and soothing voice, he touched her forehead, and all her wounds and injuries were healed, he took his hood off to reveal his face.

"I'm Orion, and I'm here to rescue you" he smiled.

The girl refused to look at him "Please, leave me alone, before I hurt you too" she cried.
