chapter 19: "Why don't you take her as your wife" [I]

Stuttering like the child he was, Shiro was stunned to see her laugh a beautiful and hearty laughter.

"I'm only messing with you, relax," she said to him, after he had come down, they had already arrived at his home.

"Anyway, I must get back to my duties" She turned to leave.

"Goddess Seshat!" Shiro called out.

"Sothis," she said

"Uh?" Shiro responded.

"Call me Sothis, we're friends after all" she stated.

"Well, uh, lady Sothis, thank you for the book and this opportunity, thank you so much, I won't let you down," Shiro said as he bowed low.

"I know you won't Shiro," she said as she vanished into thin air and Shiro looked at the book she had given him.

As Shiro opened the door to the apartment complex that he shared with his mother, his mother suddenly jumped at him crying.

"Shiro honey, I was so worried, where were you?" she cried.

"Mom, I'm ok, in fact, I'm better than Ok" he smiled.

"I would presume" an elderly voice called out.

Shiro turned to see "Lord Odin!" he exclaimed as he wanted to bow.

"No such thing boy, we are all deities here" Odin instructed the boy to stand.

"Oh Shiro, I see he's a friend of yours, he came looking for you with this beautiful girl, and what does he mean by we are all deities?" she asked in a flurry of words.

"I see where he gets that from" Odin sweat dropped.

"Uh well," Shiro looked at Odin.

"You should tell her; you'll need all the support you can get," Odin said.

"Tell me what honey," Shiro's mother asked, getting concerned.

"Uh w-well" Shiro stuttered.

One explanation later.

Himari (Shiro's mother) stared in raw shock like she was frozen.

"Mom, mom" Shiro called out, now in his ORION form, and she passed out, but Orion caught her.

"Well, that was totally expected," Orion said.

"Is she usually like this?" Odin asked looking at the woman.

"Like you wouldn't believe" Shiro responded.

"Oh wat!" the woman woke up in shock and looked up to see her now older son, staring back at her.

"Please don't faint" Orion stated.

"So, you're a God now," Himari asked faintly.

"Pretty much, yeah" Shiro laughed lightly, his now deeper and more powerful voice seemed to vibrate the room.

"I'm so proud of you," she said hugging him.

"Mom" Shiro sighed.

"Well, boy, as fun as this is, I need to be getting to Asgard," Odin said.

"Oh yeah, why did you visit in the first place lord Odin" Orion asked, then a young woman stepped into the room wearing a Valkyrie armor, she had long blonde hair, amber eyes, and a rather stoic expression with an undertone of nervousness, very voluptuous, probably double d cups or slightly under, she stood at 5'9 ft.

"This is Thyra, she will be in charge of protecting you and your mother" Odin stated.

"Greetings, I dedicate my life to you," she said taking a knee.

"What?" Orion and Himari both blinked.

"Hey wait, now that I think about it, you were there during the inauguration or something," Orion said.

"Indeed, meet your sixth blessing from the house of Odin," the old God said.

"I will serve you with all of my might in every way I can" She stood up giving a light bow, still sounding slightly nervous.

"I can't do this; I can't take a person," Orion said.

"Of course, you can, she will protect your mother, and you, at least until your training is complete, see her as a maid or bodyguard or something of the sort," Odin said.

"Still can't allow it, she has her own choice to make in the matter," the champion said, getting her attention 'No one has ever wanted my opinion' she thought as she stared at Orion.

"She's okay with this," Odin said, "Aren't you?" he asked her.

"Of course, serving the new protector and his mother is an absolute honor," she said with enthusiasm that wasn't forced, Orion could tell she wasn't lying and she wanted to be here, but.

"Something's bothering you, speak your mind, if we are to make this work, there is to be complete honesty between us," Orion said in a firm tone, sounding really cool.

"Wow" Himari whispered; Odin smiled at the authority he displayed.

'Yep, he's right for her' the old man thought to himself.

"Well, the truth is" she sounded super nervous, looking cute as she squirmed "I'm just so amazed by you," she said, that was a complete truth and Orion knew it, the eye of Horus prevented him from seeing falsely.

"Hmm, is that so, well, let me tell you now," he said as he transformed back to his tiny self.

"There's nothing special about me, I'm just a regular guy trying to make the world a better place" he offered her his hand and she shook it.

"Shiro Megami, but just call me Shiro" Shiro smiled.

"Thyra, but lord Odin already said that" She smiled back at him.

"You know, I just had an idea," Odin said, getting their attention.

"What about you take her as your wife" Odin suggested, and every member there minus Odin was reduced to a blushing and stuttering mess.
