1 Chapter 1. Crying

It was raining hard, the sky was dark, heavens probably angry as flashes of lightening lit the gloomy night. The storm seemed to have decided to have the time of its life and it was going to take down each and everything in its way.

A baby wrapped in thin clothing was placed under a shade which was hardly one. The rain got the better of the little creature wailing its life out to any kind soul out there. All it needed was shelter but no one heed to its calls. Not on this cold stormy night.

The temperatures were freezing and the baby continued to cry, shaking at the cold as it's clothes had been drenched.

At a distance, in the cemetery across from where the little one wailed, the ground begun to crack open, something was forcing it's way out.

Cracks continued to spread over the ground and with a brutal force, the earth's surface was shattered open revealing a hand with nails, sharp and skin pale.

Whatever lay down in the ground continued to wreck it's way out from the ground. A human like figure burst out completely and with it came a roar which was accompanied by the clapping lightning and roaring thunder.

The being took in a deep breath of air, finally being free. His eyes snapped open revealing pale red orbs, that scanned the unfamiliar surroundings. His frame was bony and skin, pale to shades of white.

Structures... weird looking things. Lights that are not made of fire? Which type of magic is this?

"What era is this?" He asked himself only to feel his lips tear. He slowly brought his finger to his lips to feel then chapped but despite that, no blood left his torn lips. His throat felt dry that it was painful. He looked back in the hellish votex he'd come from and frowned. Looking around, trying to adjust his senses as much as possible, he caught sound of weak cries from a place near him. He walked over with light, precise and regal steps. 'It's an offspring!' He could do with its blood for the meantime as he finds his way through his awakening.

Moving closely, he found it was a small human bundled up in drenched clothes.

"Human?" His kind never mingled with the humans for as far as he recalls. There is no way the humans could have overpowered the vampires or any other supernatural.

Putting that aside, he was dead thirsty. A vampire who has been dormant for centuries was sure one's possible nightmare to encounter and unfortunately for the human offspring, he was not going to be merciful.

Besides, they threw it away because they didn't want it right?! He could find use for it then.

The baby kept crying weakly but the vampire was in no plans to heed to its cries. He lifted it up and removed the dump cloth from its small body to expose it's neck and chest.

Licking his chapped lips, he brought his face close to the small body opening his mouth to reveal his long canines ready to sink them in the body....

Lots of love from litto-ways ❤️❤️❤️❤️
