29 Special Day

Meliza's POV

I didn't expect the mess that I put myself into would be the reason that I would experience my first kiss with Ethan.

Yes! My mind screamed, and my entire body felt so weak when he came closer to me and cornered me in the railings of the staircase. He licked his lips, and my mind went haywire.

It felt like I was floating on cloud nine the moment he took my lips with his hungry mouth. I almost panicked since I didn't know how to kiss, but the feeling he gave me made me

mirror his actions. Then we kissed like I couldn't breathe at all. I could feel my lips got swollen after he released my mouth.

And when Ethan asked me if I was his girlfriend, I didn't play hard to get anymore as I quickly answered yes!

I didn't know how long we were kissing, and I could only hear the loud beating of our hearts in sync. I don't want this moment to end. It was like I was only dreaming.

Ethan enveloped me with his strong arms like I am the most fragile thing in the world. I was clinging to him as my life depended on him.

"Can I take you somewhere?" He asked, and I only nodded since my mind was still in haze.

He smiled as he took my hand and dragged me with him. He brought me to the rooftop, where we could still hear the noise of the party downstairs. But we are alone, and that feeling alone makes me feel special.

He sat on one of the chairs, and I was about to sit beside him when he pulled me into his lap. I could feel goosebumps covering my entire skin while my heart was beating so fast that I had to take a deep breath and try my best to relax.

"I hope you won't take it back," he whispered in my ear, and I could feel the knots on my belly.

"I won't; for the first time, I attended a party because of you." I timidly replied and turned my face away from him.

But he cupped my chin and slowly brought it near to his handsome face, and my heart skipped a beat when he smiled at me with those deep dimples.

His face was so close to me, and when I turned my head, Ethan didn't waste his time kissing me again, and this time, our kiss became more intimate that I could feel my entire body was on fire.

"Wow! I could kiss your lips forever and never get tired of doing it," he mumbled, and my heart summersault, but I suddenly felt conscious since I hadn't had a toothbrush after dinner.

But Ethan kept kissing me in between our conversations, and I couldn't think straight.

"Can we keep our relationship a secret?" I asked, and his eyes widened.

"But why?" He asked, feeling disappointed with what I had said.

"I don't want to complicate things, and you know what will happen if they will, or they will know that I am now officially your girlfriend," I responded before he answered.

"If that is what you want, let us keep it a secret. But I just want you to know that I wanted to scream right now and let everyone know we are now a couple." He responded.

"I have to respect your decision because I don't want to lose you ever again, and let us do what you want. If you want it the secret and will keep it the secret, but make sure that you will always find time for us to be alone because I miss you every day, even if you are just steps away from me," Ethan added.

"You don't have any idea how much I miss you after spending time with you on the beach." He continued.

"I also want to tell you the highlights. If we are going to keep it a secret, those girls will continue to be around me, and I have to deal with Nicole and her friends. Do you like that?" He asked, and I slowly shook my head.

"I don't want that to happen," I replied.

"So, what is your decision?" He asked, and I was silent for a while.

"I am not going to pretend anymore. I like you so much, and I am proud that you are my first boyfriend and my first kiss. I hope you will never hurt me. I want them to know you are my boyfriend."I responded, and he smiled with relief on his face.

"I promise I will never break your heart, and I will do everything to make you happy," Ethan whispered before he nibbled my earlobe, and it made my stomach flutter.

We talked and laughed. I didn't know Ethan could be so funny and sweet. But we have to call it a night and end our sweet moments together, but I am looking forward to spending more time with my hot boyfriend.

He sent me to my room, and we shared another searing kiss that made my limbs weak in front of my bedroom door. We bid goodnight to each other.

I couldn't stop giggling as I got inside my room. I couldn't help jumping and screaming my heart out that I finally had a boyfriend, and I felt so happy before I collapsed into my bed, catching my breath.

I was shocked to find Ethan waiting for me outside my door the following morning, looking as fresh and handsome as ever. He took my hand and kissed my knuckles, and together, we walked to the dining hall holding hands.

Everyone was looking at our intertwined fingers as we got inside the dining area. Ethan pulled out the chair for me and assisted me in taking my seat before he sat beside me, taking Ruby's place.

My best friend winked at me, looking so excited to take Ethan's seat, and I knew because she would be sitting next to Vince.

"So, are you now a couple?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, finally, she said yes!" Ethan responded eagerly, and when I raised my head, I could see Nicole's angry gaze. Her eyes were burning with fury that I had to curl my fist under the table, but I suddenly felt Ethan's hand caressing my hand under the table.

"Hey, everything will be okay," he whispered as he pulled some loose locks of my hair away from my face. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

Nina was smiling, and I suddenly felt worried since she warned me about Ethan, but I didn't listen. But I know Ethan was misunderstood, and there is something about him that drew me closer to him that I couldn't explain.

And it dawned on me. It was love. Love knows no limit or boundaries, and there is no borrowmeter when you are in love.

"Are you okay?" Ethan asked in the middle of our breakfast.

"Yes, I am fine," I responded.

Everyone knew I was now Ethan's girlfriend. The girls didn't bother me, but they still looked at me in the same manner.

It has been one month, and I became more in love with Ethan each passing day, and I finally knew the real Ethan. He is so sweet and kind, and I don't regret choosing him as my boyfriend.

"Iza, when are you going to stop taking away everyone that I like from me?" Nicole angrily asked as she got inside the office, and she knew when to attack since I was alone.

"I don't understand what you mean, Nicole," I replied, trying to keep my voice low.

"Stop pretending you don't know anything because from the start, you knew I liked Vince, and then you started flirting with him," Nicole responded.

"I didn't flirt with Vince, and you know that," I stated.

"Ha! Liar! And now that Ethan showed up, you do the same, and I couldn't believe you made him your boyfriend." She responded, and her face turned redder because of her anger.

"I like him more than I wanted Vince. Yet, you seduced him like the way you did with Vince." She added, and I opted to stay silent since she would never hear me out.

"Nicole, I already told you, leave Iza alone." Ethan's voice roared, and I didn't notice he came inside the office.

"Ethan, you said you like me; we shared some

kisses; how could you choose this bitch?" She asked.

"Nicole, stop. You initiated those kisses, and I am gentleman enough not to stop you. I told you I like Meliza; please, give us some respect." Ethan said with gentleness.

"You will never get away from this, Ethan. I will ruin your relationship whatever it takes; I will never give you up that easily." She responded before she left, stomping her feet, and shut the door with a loud bang.

"I am sorry about Nicole." He said when we were alone.

"This is what I had been telling you," I responded, hurt that they shared kisses.

"The kisses we shared were nothing, Iza. I hope you will forgive me, but it was before you and I became a couple. I was so down that time, and spending time with Nicole was my only escape because you broke my heart." He declared.

"Hey, it is okay; I knew you kissed many girls before me," I stated.

"Yes, but nothing can compare to the kisses we shared because you are special to me, Iza." He said before he closed the distance between us and kissed me.

It was my special day, and I was so excited to be alone with Ethan, but he didn't show up in front of my room like usual. I realized it was Saturday and our day off, but even so, he always came every morning, and even if I felt scared he got caught, it gave me a thrill.

"Happy Birthday!" My friends greeted me, and I was surprised to find them in our favorite spot, on the hilltop, together with Ethan.

Ruby said she wanted to be alone with me to have a girl talk. Without knowing she was an accomplished at Ethan's surprise party for me.

They set up tables and chairs, and there was so much food at the table; even Nina was with them; they were wearing birthday hats. They tied balloons on the tree around us with different colors, and I couldn't contain the tears of happiness trickled down my face.

"My love, make a wish," Ethan whispered as he brought the chocolate cake with a number 18 candle at the center in front of me while everyone was singing a birthday song.

I closed my eyes and made a wish with a beautiful smile on my face.
