The betrayal
(Second day of hearing at the court....,)
Second day of hearing Calissy still attending the hearing, this is the day where they will decided about Calissy's destiny. And today Suzette volunteer herself as another Witnesses, Allison Sigh in relief because finally Suzette will help them to prove that Calissy is innocent.
Mr Johnson's face has really had his bad Impression. "I am Suzette Finchley" She said while she grips her hands so hard. Suzette look at her two friends then She nodd at them, Allison began to question her! "Miss Suzette Where were you in that night before Calissy's sister died?" Suzette keep swallowing her saliva so hard and answer her question.
"I'm uhm--" She looks terrified and scared while keep bitting her lips. Allison and Calissy is looking at their friend who is terrified "Uhm--" Suzette hands is shaking for some other reason Calissy had a any idea about Suzette action. Calissy smile at her to assure her that she will be fine. Suzette avoid an eye contact at her friend and and took a deep breath. "I'm in Vegas" Allison and Calissy sigh in relief,. so Allison continue to keep asking her.
"Yes! and I know myself that you went there because we have a wonderful time together"Allison said with full of joy after she said those words. "So Calissy is with us that night before her Sister died! right Miss Suzette?" And for the second time Suzette couldn't say any of a single words because she looks nervous. " Miss Suzette? Do you want me to repeat my question?" Allison snap her.
"Oh no- uhm Yes please" Allison forehead forrowed because her friend is not in her usual mind. Calissy starred Suzette in she scanned her face and her actions. Something isn't right! Someone must bothering her mind and She just couldn't figure it out. "You told us that you were in Vegas the night right? So can you please tell us the details about that night?"
Suzette bit her lips and answer her questions, "Yes I uhm a in Vegas with my uhm Very precious best of friends of mine, and uhm Calissy is uhm--" Suzette couldn't have the courage to finish her words because she is now obviously scared. Allison Sigh and rubb her temple patiently, Mr Johnson's Face smirk had widened because her friend couldn't speak properly.
"Miss Finchley do you still want to continue?" The Judge ask her. A teary eye she face her friend and answer the Judge. " Yes your honour I will continue.." And then the Judge move his head and nodd.
Allison sigh in annoyance then she approached her. Calissy didn't pay any attention to the two of them, instead she looked at her Parents and Grandparents staring at her intently with their emotionless face and to the Ibanov family as well. Her jaw tightened after she caught the Ibanov guy staring at her too. She move her gaze back to her two friends talking each other, and then Allison ask her again.
"Is it true that Miss Calissy is with you that night in Vegas right?" Allison asked..,
"Uhm Yes--." She Paused "No no she's not with us" The two were surprised by Suzette's answer. Suzette tearfully repeated her answer again "She's not with us that night in Vegas"Calissy was stunned by her trusted friend answer, After Suzette said those words She immediately avoid an eye contact to her friend. Calissy feels anger and hatred because of Suzette's lie "No?.." Allison's voice become colder and clenching her jaw.
Mr. Johnson's face suddenly brightened because of the answer he heard. While Calissy's Mother and her Family were angry and it was filled with hatred in their hearts. Calissy laughs softly because her own friend let her down, and most of all she betrayed her.
"You got to be kidding me Suzette how could you say that? you lie to us you know that Calissy is innocent She went with us in Vegas.. How could you call yourself as her true best friend? did you know this is betrayal?" Allison burst out her anger.
Suzette angrily stood up and looked intently at Allison. "It's true that Calissy wasn't in Vegas that night, Allison. Please don't cover up her crime.." Allison laughed angrily while Calissy had no trace of emotions on her face. Hate and anger were planted in her heart because of her friend. "Ha!" Allison sarcastically laugh and slam her hands on the table together with the document.
"Please Silent'' The judge banged his wood hammer. But no one dare to stop their argument, Mr Johnson Smile evily and clapping while staring at her friend fighting just to defend her. The Five officer join them to make e'm stop, but the two of her friend still fighting each other.
The whole room was full of negative energy that she can feel it, the noise that her friend made. "How could you lie Infront of our innocent friend Suzette?" Allison again ask her friend, but Suzette still find her way to grab her hair.
The officer do they're best to stop them. "And what about you Allison? have you ever considered her as our friend? come on don't ask me that shitty questions because it's fucki'n disgust--"
"Enough.." Everyone gape and so her two friends. Calissy sigh so deep and look at them with her Stoic face, "The two of you please I'm begging you stop.. Please Allison, Suzette. Do not fight in front of me," At once the two bowed and let go of each other. Calissy cleared her throat and sighed in emptiness She didn't want the two to fight just because of her.
Mr Johnson's smile still annoyed her and Mr Johnson adjusted himself Before face the Judge. "As you can see Your honour According to what Miss Suzette said they were not with Miss Calissy that night in Vegas. Because the truth is that.. She was in New York the night of the Central Park incident in New York. Mr Johnson released some photos of Calissy wearing a dark hoodie.
Her Parents face were shocked and for just a second their angers were deep to make them put their own daughter in Jail forever. The judge scan the photos and keep nodding while looking at her.
"Is this you Miss Calissy?" the judge ask her. Calissy glance at her family and secretly grasping her leg below the table.
"Yes your honour" Allison and Suzette couldn't believe of what they just heard. Suzette was about to approach her but Allison glared at her, "Yes your honour I did killed my own sister"
"What are you doing Calissy? you didn't kill her--" Allison asked her with teary eyes.
Calissy just looked at her friend and smile bitterly, The judge ask her another question. "What is your reason for killing her?" She answered the questions with her teary eyes.
"Because she's perfect for everything, My family only looked at her they forgot about my existance... I killed her because she has everything that I don't have" and for the second Calissy cried silently and let the tears flow down to her face. Allison face softened and cried for her friend.
"But Calissy you didn't kill her why did you lie?.." Allison asked her.
"I'm tired Allison and I only did what is right" Calissy answered
"Right? you do the right? is it right for you to lie? Come on that why I'm here for you to clear your name that your innocent please take it back your words" Allison cried Infront of everyone. Calissy just smile at her friend and wiped out her tears.
Everyone remain silent except for Allison's sobs. The three judges whispering each other and they sign the papers they're holding. "According to the Law of Republic Act No. 248 The person who kill someone, shall be guilty and be punished to death. But in this case Miss Calissy Dnisch has found guilty for killing her own sister Miss Cassy Dnisch the victim murder, she shall be imprisoned for seven years and five months and two days in jail." After the judge announce that he banged his wood hammer.
Allison fell down on the floor speechless while Calissy just bit her lips and glance her Parents crying in her father's shoulder while her father caressing her mother's back. She looked away from that and then the two officers assist her to move out, "Calissy no don't touch her" Allison came back from her reverie and approach her friend. "No no it can be this is not the part of the plan no no-" Allison snap out because Calissy called her.
"Ally" Calissy shook her head to stop her. Allison cried again and stared at her "I'm going take care of yourself my dear friend" Calissy said
Allison grim and step forward towards her "Cali why?" Allison asked her. She just smile "Putting you in jail is not the part of the plan" And then Allison sobs again.
Calissy sigh stared at her friend sobbing. "Then you must include that in your plan! don't worry Allison this is my fate we should accept it.. We can't just run away and hide forever that is coward thing Ally" Calissy then step backwards and sigh again she can't bear seing her friends breakdown because of her.
"But Cali you're innocent you didn't kill her, you didn't even touch a single strand of her hair" :Allison
"Ally I already did accept my fate and destiny their must be some reason why this happened.. Come on my friend let just moved on and live a new life without me" After Calissy said those words she left her friend crying and mad about the results.
Calissy secretly move her gaze to her parents and then she saw her father's face softened after seing his daughter being handcuffed and live a life in prison. Calissy look away and Calissy and Norvik's eyes met accidentally as they stared at her intently. Calissy immediately averted her eyes and voluntarily went with the two policemen to the jail.
When they came out of the court, many policemen were on guard and escorted her towards a big bus with many barriers in the window so that a criminal like her could not escape.
Calissy sat quietly at the end of the bus in the seat and stared at nowhere. There were no reporters because the police blocked and the Dnisch Family didn't want it to let the whole England about these scandals.
The bus that Calissy rode left smoothly and there were no obstacles to block or ambush the road. There is not much traffic on the road to Pentoville London To put her there. It was a few more hours before they reached their destination.
When they arrived, she was immediately helped to get off the bus and go inside the jail. She wandered around and as far as her sight can reach it. The large barrier outside the cage and the shape of it looks like an oval shape of the large buildings. And a blue gate entrance with policemen waiting and watching for her arrival.
Upon entering Calissy was immediately greeted by a chubby dark woman holding a folder and key. "Newly arrived?" The policeman who was with her nodded and the dark and chubby woman in a police uniform stared at her. "Calissy Dnisch, 24 years old. Cases? Murder! Please come with me you need to change your clothes before you go inside" said the woman who left first. So. She followed it without saying a word.
And they stopped in a room with many lockers that she guessed were where they put their belongings in case she was released. "This is the uniform of the women imprisoned here inside the jail. Go ahead and change, and Oh! don't even try to run away because we'll still catch you." The Woman smiled at her as she stared at her.
"Don't worry it won't happen and thank you ..."She slammed the door shut to go inside.
"What a rude little imbecile" The woman shook her head and took a deep breath.
After Calissy change her clothes into a uniform the woman accompanied her to her Section where she would be placed. "Don't worry, I'm surely is that you can get along with them, because they're both criminals just like you" The dark woman wink at her and smiled but she just answered with a stingy nod. The two stopped in a room with an iron bar in the wooden door.
When the door opened, she was immediately greeted by three women playing a poker together. The woman tapped the baton she was holding to get the attention of the three. "Hello ladies h I will put the new one here in your section because she will be your roommate here are we clear?. And Oh before I forget that, No one allowed fighting here inside do you understand?" The three prisoner both nodd as they respond. "You all know the Prison Policy and rules" After she said that, the dark lady was gestured her the door so that she could enter inside .
As she entered she just gave them a peck of smile and lie down without introducing herself. "Uhm hi I'm Bea" The girl in her brunette hair and her granite eyes introduce herself. She just nodd without checking her, and the other black girl in her black curly hair introduce herself as well. "I'm Monica Julian nice to meet you,I mean here in prison yeah" and as they thought she's still didn't respond them.
And the last girl in her Brown hair and a green eyes introduce herself too "I'm Jemima welcome here in prison" Calissy still quiet and ignore them they're seems good they don't look like a criminal just like people said. The three of them just let her rest and leave her alone. And do they're own thing that they used to be since they got into Pentoville..
