Questions

"You're welcome to stay until you figure it out," Director told her.

"Really?" Dawn and Scarlett asked.

"And truly, I have never shut my door to an orphan, why would I start now?" Director said.

"What about Lana?" Silas asked.

"She's still in the cube right Prism?"

"Yes, she is,"

"Why don't the three of you get her into her incubator, she'll calm down after that way," Director said. "Dawn and I will talk for a bit longer," the 3 got up and left the room.

"Thanks for letting me stay," Dawn said to Director.

"You don't need to thank me, I've been taking care of kids forever," Director said. "plus if you went back there I don't doubt that would be in danger after it,"

"What do you mean? They would never hurt me,"

"If that's what you believe then who am I to go against it?" Director said.

"What do you think their end goal is?" Dawn asked.

"Hm, I feel like Kat is just the minon and Lucas is the mastermind. After my chat with Kat, she seemed pretty sincere when it came to you,"

"What did you guys talk about?"

"I can't just tell you, where's the fun in that?" Director's eyes began to sparkle.

"Woah," Dawn said as she looked into Director's eyes.

"Don't look too long or I'll snatch your soul," Director smirked.

"R-really?" Dawn said quickly looking away.

"Maybe," Director said. "Seems like Kat bringing you here was a good idea," DIrector said under her breath.

"Huh?"

"Where did you come from?" Director asked.

"I don't really know, I've been an orphan for as long as I can remember," Dawn said as she looked down at her hands on her lap.

"It's alright, I'm an orphan too and so are those four," Director said as Dawn lifted her head back up. "whether you're Normal, Gifted, Tormentor, citizen or Princess; it doesn't matter much to me,"

"Really?"

"No, I treat everyone relatively the same anyway," Director said. "which is like idiots, now it's getting dark out you should head to bed,"

"B-but-"

"Get going Dawn, Scarlett will help you," Director said as she watched Dawn head downstairs.

"3..2..." Director counted down and as she was about to say one there was a knock on the door. "What a surprise," she said as she answered the door. "I thought Kat would have come instead," she said as Lucas stood outside of the door.

"Where's Dawn?" Lucas cut to the chase.

"What happened to hello? How are you?" Director said in a teasing tone.

"I don't have time for this Director,"

"Oh and I do?" Director asked raising an eyebrow.

"Just tell me if she's here,"

"And if she isn't?"

"Where else could she go?"

"The girl can turn into a bird, she could travel to whatever nation she wanted to and she'd be fine,"

"She can't,"

"Oh, do tell, why not?"

"I know you saw that speech she gave,"

"And what about it?" Director said folding her arms.

"The Knights of the Land of Gifts saw it too," Lucas explained. "They're watching her every move now because of that speech so I wanted to make sure she was okay,"

"Bullshit," Director said. "You good and well that you can't lie to me, so what do you really want?"

"She needs to come back to the estate, that's where she belongs,"

"I would love to send her home but she's not here,"

"Stop playing games Director, I'm not in the mood,"

"Are you threatening me?" Director said with a smirk. "Are you aware I play for keeps?"

"N-no I'm not threatening you," Lucas said taking a step back.

"Fine, I'll threaten you then," Director said stepping outside. "Stay away from my children if you know what's best for you and you know what I do to those who disobey me," Director said. Lucas walked away angrily after Director's warning, she walked back inside to find Prism waiting at the door.

"Did they come for her?"

"They tried to," Director admitted. "What're you doing up here?"

"I had something I wanted to ask you about,"

"Being?"

"It's about Alessia's manifestation,"

"Go on,"

"Could Alessia's arrow dust be made to make things?" Prism asked.

"Why do you ask?" Director asked her.

"When Lana tried to attack her, the necklace started to glow and the jar opened by itself," Prism explained.

"Hm," Director thought for a moment. "No comment," he said as she walked away.

"What?"

"No comment," Director repeated. "End of discussion,"

Prism sighed and made her way back downstairs to the bedroom. Scarlett was setting up a bed for Dawn and Silas was rearranging things to make space for Dawn.

"Prism! Where did you go?"

"I went to ask Director something,"

"No luck?" Silas asked.

"You could tell that easily?" Prism asked.

"As expected of her," Silas said.

"Hey guys," Dawn spoke up. "Thank you, for everything I mean from saving me earlier till now and even after that,"

"It's nothing," Scarlett said with a smile.

"Yeah we owe you this much," Silas said.

"We were wrong to judge you for the position you hold, I hope you can forgive us for it," Prism said.

"Don't worry about it, I can see where you guys were coming from,"

"Now that we've all made up, we'll get to see Prism perform together," Scarlett said excitedly.

"You're performing soon,"

"Yeah I don't normally attend the performances but this year is my 10th-year anniversary concert so I kinda have to attend,"

"Wait, you don't go to your own performances?"

"No, I rarely even leave the nation. I usually have Lana create a paint clone and send the clone since nobody is any the wiser but after today I doubt she'll be able to do that,"

"Why don't you leave the nation? Is it because you're a Tormentor?" Dawn asked.

"No, I just prefer to stay home," Prism said.

"Oh,"

"Many of our fans don't know our class," Silas said.

"Why not?" Dawn asked.

"It's for our own safety, Tormentors don't have the best representation over the years so we promote equality and inclusivity so by the time we do disclose that stuff; the blow isn't as heavy," Scarlett explained.

"What could happen if you did it now?" Dawn asked causing the three to fall silent with grim looks on their faces.

"We'd likely be executed for promoting equality between the classes," Prism said.
