Cases in Charberg

Charlotte woke up and yawned loudly as her blurred vision shifted to her room. She had work to do this noon since she is the daughter of a duke. She then called Josephine who later on came running into the room with a pile of Charlotte's paperwork. Josephine then placed the papers on Charlotte's study desk. Charlotte then stretched and got up from the bed. She took a bath and then did her paperwork.

There was so much to do! She had to take care of tax, financial and drought issues. She even had to solve and list her thoughts on criminals' crimes in the Vouix area. She never thought that being the daughter of a well-known family would be this hard.

When she had done all her paperwork and solved al the crimes the criminals had done, she piled all the papers up, gave it to Josephine and told her to hand it to Charlotte's father. She had seen some of the crimes the criminals had done and half of them were all the cases of abduction of spiritual animals. She felt angry and felt like she wanted to break something. Then, she was told to go to a party or a ball with Josephine. It turned out that she had received an invite to Liana Jevver's party. Liana is a very popular woman among aristocratic associations. She is known for not only her beauty but her kindness and willingness to help anybody in trouble. She has a very kind husband named Jeffery Jevver. Jeffery had just recently changed his last name from Garcia to Jevver.

Charlotte searched through her wardrobe and found a beautiful white dress with blue decorations such as blue roses and blue ribbons.

After Charlotte is done, Josephine called Charlotte's carriage to escort Charlotte to the Jevver family residence. The white carriage decorated with golden intricate markings fits Charlotte's golden soul perfectly. Charlotte sat and stared out of the carriage window, in a daze.

For minutes there was complete silence. Then, the carriage stopped in front of a beautiful residence of green. The light green gate slowly opened for the white carriage. When the carriage passed a gate holder, Charlotte felt his eyes on her so she looked at the gate holder and saw a man by his twenties. The young man smirked and looked at Charlotte with flirtatious eyes.

Feeling uncomfortable, Charlotte closed the curtains and told Josephine what she had seen. Josephine looked mad. Josephine then shouted at the man. The gate holder didn't even turn around.

Charlotte calmed Josephine down before she said any harsh words on the gate holder because it was not very ladylike for anyone to do so.

When Charlotte got off the carriage, she saw dozens of couples in the residence. The couples were either holding hands, kissing each other or walking in the garden. There was nothing about couples in the letter.

Then, while getting to the nearest table for more wine, she bumped into Liana herself. Charlotte apologized and helped Liana up. Liana looked quite happy to see Charlotte and hugged her. Liana then asked what Charlotte wanted and she answered, 'wine please'. Since Lianaliked Charlotte so much, she ordered her servants to get the oldest wine in the Jevver residence for Charlotte exquisitely.

Charlotte already told her that she didn't need to do that since she isn't too important, but Liana still gave her the wine.

The wine is high-quality wine from an area near Charberg. Years ago, this wine was very popular but it suddenly disappeared. No one ever knew about the wine ever again up until now. The wine is named Golden Roses. The wine was for friends of a certain golden soul before Charlotte was born. The bottle of the wine looked fresh and it tastes great. The taste stays for a long time after Charlotte drank the wine.

Liana also had her servants brought desserts for Charlotte. Charlotte thanked Liana and her servants for the desserts and ate them. The desserts are so-so, but her servants looked so proud of the desserts, especially the chocolate mousse. But Charlotte had to state the truth.

After hearing Charlotte's feedback, they all looked sad. Then, Charlotte offered to teach them the proper way to make desserts so that they don't taste so-so.

Liana's servants agreed to let them be taught by Charlotte. Liana had told Charlotte that she didn't need to teach the servants because Charlotte is part of a noble family, but Charlotte insisted. After the party, Charlotte went back home unbothered and safely.
