1 Chapter- ONE

A car stopped at the front doors of a restaurent. Where last year Shin Ha-ri celebrated her birthday with her boyfriend. Shin Ha-ri who appeared to be in her early twenties, steeped out from the car. She was in a black bodycon dress, wearing a flat n heels black sandal, and she kept her brown long straight hair opened. Her makeup was light and complete with a cherry lipstick.

Shin Ha-ri looks like a girl with an exceedingly gorgeous external appearance. Whose eyes sparkle, and whose smile lights up a room, something that leaves you in awe and wonder reminding you of pure and utter perfection

It's not about the clothing, the hair, the make-up about her. It's about the way her smile radiates warmth.

Someone that catches your breath and your heart.

"Good Evening mam", Appeared a man in a black suit in front of Shin Ha-ri.

"Good Evening", Saying this she hands over her car keys to park. After giving the car keys she proceeded to go inside. Shin Ha-ri already booked her table. The waiter seated her, handed her the menu before he leaving from there.

A small delicious strawberry cake, her boyfriend's all-time favorite food, she orders it all.

After sometime the waiter brings all the orders and puts it on the table first.

"Happy birthday to me" Shin Ha-ri took a deep breath wishes herself before cutting the cake.

Shin Ha-ri boyfriend was not with her on this birthday. He is now Shin Ha-ri ex-boyfriend. Eight months ago when Shin Ha-ri's boyfriend Moon Ji-ung broke-up with her. Shin Ha-ri didn't understand the reason of leaving her.

Just suddenly one day Moon Ji-ung pack all his belongings and told Shin Ha-ri in harsh voice, "I don't love you anymore and is not working out between us."

After hearing to his words, Shin Ha-ri was not able to give any answer to him. His words had silenced her completely.

"You're kidding aren't you, let's eat I'm hungry?", This was her words came out of her mouth after hearing to his words.

"No, not at all, I don't want to be with you anymore", Moon Ji-ung replied with clearly.

Shin Ha-ri's entire body went numb and her brain completely blank out. She didn't understand how to react. Shin Ha-ri said with tears, "If i have done anything wrong with you. So, please let me know. But do not leave me like this."

"Good bye! take care", Saying this he turned his back went away saying this, leaving Shin Ha-ri forever and didn't come back.

"Ring' Ring'.....

Hearing the sound of the phone, Shin Ha-ri take out the phone of her purses. She saw Rosy was calling.

[ Meet Rosy.. Shin Ha-ri's best friend who is like her sister from another mother. She takes care like her mom. Shin Ha-ri and Rosy are neighbours, they know each other like since they can't even able to speak anything. They grew up together. ]

Shin Ha-ri picked up the phone and said hello.

"Shin where are you, huh?", She got a very angry reply from the other side of the phone. "Where have you gone without telling to anyone. I called you so many times, you did not receive even once. We are waiting for you and you are missing here. Are you kidding? Where are you now?".

"Clam down clam down.. I'm at a restaurant right now", Shin Ha-ri replied. Shin Ha-ri didn't want to tell her the place where she is now. This restaurant She and Moon Ji-Ung used to go often. If Rosy heard the name of the place she would be very mad at her after knowing where Shin Ha-ri was.

"What?! Which restaurant, With whom you're with?", She happily asked, wondering if she had gone on a date with anyone.

"Rosy.. stop questioning. I'm just came to eat here, I will be back in one hour, don't worry".

"Come fast as soon as you can do okay, We are waiting for you", Rosy said, she thought shin ha-ri was lying, she must have gone on a date with someone and didn't want to tell.

"Okay, hang up the phone now", Saying this Shin Ha-ri hung up the phone.

After Shin Ha-ri disconnected her phone. She enjoyed her time sitting alone in a fancy restaurant. Enjoying all the food ordered by her.

When she coming out of the restaurant, she saw that it was raining heavily outside. In no time, Shin Ha-ri's car came in front of her.

Without thinking anything, Shin ha-ri set the direction to Moon Ji-ung house. She start driving towards his house. On her birthday, she just wanted to see him desperate.

Shin Ha-ri stopped the car under the building of his house. She was waiting eagerly for him in the car to come to the balcony. After some time her ex boyfriend came to the balcony. Smiling while talking to someone on the phone.

On Shin Ha-ri's birthday, She feel lonely today. Just outside her ex-boyfriend's house. She painfully reminded her last birthday. He made it so special for her, last year birthday.

Last year he had planned a huge surprise party for Shin Ha-ri. And this year she is standing in front of his house in the dark of the night.

"Maybe he remembers that today is my birthday", hoping that Shin Ha-ri came in front of his house and looked at him with tears in her eyes, but looking at him, it seemed that he was too busy talking on the phone.

Suddenly a sound break Shin Ha-ri's past thinking.

"Knock' knock". .

The sound of the knocking on the car window.

"You can't park here, mam", As she lowered her glass, the security guard politely told her. Shin Ha-ri often goes to the front of his building at night and sees him on the balcony from the car. The guard knows her well, he felt sorry for her.

"After going for ahed, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road".

"Why it stopped..", Shin Ha-ri kept trying to start the car but it didn't start. She got down from the car in heavy rain and started checking the car by turning on the light of her phone. While checking, Her phone fell from her hand and broke.

Shin Ha-ri was just wondering why she was having such a bad day today. While cruising her luck, she goes to the shop near her.

When Shin Ha-ri went to the closed shop she saw a man also standing outside of the closed shop. That aged man was talking on the phone.

Shin Ha-ri decided to ask for his phone to call Rosy to picking her up.

"Excuse me sir.. Hello! can you give me your phone for two minutes. See, my phone is broken and I really need to call", Shin Ha-ri showed him her broken phone and told looking at him.

Giving her a look that the aged men say nothing.

"Look, my car was there too, it is not starting", shin ha-ri said showing her car to the aged man. "And no cab was coming. Sir please, can you please give me your phone for just two minutes", Shin Ha-ri said.

"Ok you can take it", That aged man gave her a smile and said.

"Thank you so much sir, thank you", She smiles back as she take the phone from his hand.

Shin Ha-ri picked up the phone and went to dial Rosy's number but she could not remember her number.

"How can I not remember my best-friend phone number. I just only remember Jaden's number. Oh god what I'm idiot. What should I do now, Should I call him to pick me", Shin Ha-ri was wondering if she should call ex boyfriend or not.

"Moon Ji-ung house was 10 minutes away from this place. Maybe he'll come to pick me up", After thinking so much Shin Hari

told herself and dialled his number and called him.

"RING RING"...

Hearing the phone ring, Shin Ha-ri's heart was beating faster and faster. She was overjoyed thinking that she would get to hear his voice.

"Hello! Whose this?", Her ex-boyfriend asked in a deep voice.

"H..Hey, am Shin", Shin Ha-ri replied in a trembling voice.

"Why are you calling by changing the number?", He asked in confusion.

"No no it's not like that my phone got broken and I don't remember anyone's number. I only remembered your number so I called you", Shin Ha-ri denying what Moon Ji-ung said.

"Seriously dude?! That's why you are calling me at 1:00 in the night", He asked in an irritated voice. It seemed in his voice that he was not believing Shin Ha-ri.

"Ji-ung, I really can't remember anyone number except your and I'm middle of the road. There's no cab and my phone was broken. So, i called you". Moon Ji-ung did not answer her. He just wanted to hang up the phone, his voice sounded like he really didn't care about Shin Ha-ri. She continue, "Ji-ung today is my birthday", She took a deep breath and said to him in a weeping tone.

He took a pause and said, "Happy birthday Shin, I am so sorry I totally forgot. So, what's the plan, how you celebrating your birthday today".

"Actually I'm 10 minutes away from your house now. So, I thought I might bother you, it's raining so heavily and I can't see any cab coming. Can you pick me up please?", Shin Ha-ri asked.

"No no it's okay don't worry. Where at you right now?", He asked.

"I am near horniman circle", Shin Ha-ri said in a cheerful voice.

Before Shin Ha-ri could say anything, Moon Ji-ung disconnected the phone saying OK.

She became very happy after disconnected the call. "He was coming to get me", Thinking that she was going to talk to him, she was overjoyed.

Shin Ha-ri was waiting for him to pick her up.

It's been twenty minutes. Shin Ha-ri desperately was looking at her watch over and over again.

His house was only fifteen minutes away. It's been forty-five minutes now, Moon Ji-ung didn't showed up till now.

"Maybe he is buying for me a birthday present that's why he's late in coming here", Shin Ha-ri started saying in her mind. Hoping that he showed up in anytime soon.

After one hour a car coming in front of Shin Ha-ri and stopped. The joy the happiness every thing disappeared from her face after seeing that car.
