3. The Thunder

The night of mid-July, 2020. That night it was raining. Raining as if someone was crying. Radhika had forgot to sleep. She was sitting near the windows of her very lonely room where she had cried for nearly 10 days. For a change, she didn't cry for wanted to see the heaven crying. She loved how the wind made her hairs fly and how the sky looked gloomy. She was imagining if she looked beautiful while crying like the sky looked gloomy yet alluring.

She brought her phone and started to type.

"If I would have stopped, if only I would have understood the hints he gave, I wouldn't have been this hurt?

But does it change anything?

I still would have liked him.

Why? Why did I take his kindness as his affection? Why did I fell for him?"

Tears started to roll from her eyes. After all, it was her first time experiencing for someone.

"If only I had stopped, I would have been saved."

She looked at the sky once again.

She started to remember those memories she had with him.

'2018:

The first time she noticed him, she was

The first day she came to the class, she was made to sit with a guy. Partially she didn't hate it. It was first sight. She knew she had to pursue him. It felt like it was destiny.

But she wasn't so sure. She didn't want to make it too fast. She wanted to be friends with him but feared.

"Can I share the Math's book with me? I forgot to bring it. I remember putting it inside the bag. But now it's not there. Do you mind it sharing with me?"

"Yes, sure." She kept the book in the middle.'

That was the very first page of their story.

She regretted it that day.

She clicked the left topmost option "SAVE YOUR NOTE".

Then she clicked the three dots on the right side to just press "DELETE".

"I wish I could do the same with his memories."

She whatsapped her best friend Nihar. "It would have been good if I would have paid heed to your advice."

"One tick." She murmured to herself. "He must have slept."

Just I she was going to close. She saw the tick turned into two and then to blue.

"Stop it. Babe. It has already happened. No one can change what has already happened. Stop overthinking and go to bed."

She saw but ignored it and instead wrote, "You are my soulmate. You exactly know when I need you and too what exactly is good for me."

"Thank you. Would have been glad if you had understood this sooner!"

She put her phone beside her and tried to sleep.

Just when she had broken apart and wanted to stay from such messes for a while, an unknown number popped on her screen.

Disgusted, by her continuous efforts to sleep, she gave in. Right when she picked the phone up, she saw an unknown number. The profile picture looked familiar. She took a screenshot and sent it to Nihar who told her that he was a guy from their class who joined the school recently.

Without any much thought, she blocked him.

"No more conversations with any guys!"
