1 Wedding

It's her wedding day!

Viona had never considered getting married this soon. She always thought she wanted to love someone, then propose and marry after getting to know each other well.

But thanks to her parents, all those fantasies got blurred...

Viona was 23 years old.

She thought it was too early for her to get married.

However, her mother had a different thought and refuted her idea.

"You are an alpha! You must marry soon, so you can create your family when you have the energy."

Viona was an alpha. Alphas always held priority and had to take all the responsibilities.

As a female alpha, many around her thought she liked betas because she usually didn't like the presence of omegas around her. But no beta managed to get along with her since she was too much for them to handle.

Her mother was also an alpha while her father was a beta. So she came out of her beta father's belly. Her mother was the boss of their family. Like that, she wanted her daughter also to get a family and settle.

It can't be helped. Mothers always feel so.

Even though Viona avoided marriage for like two years, she finally had no excuse because she couldn't get a lover. So her mother pushed her into this marriage.

Her mother expected they would get close after the marriage, falling in love not too late and finally having hopes for their family.

Viona's marriage partner happened to be a male omega. He was also the same age as her and happened to face the same experience as Viona.

Pushed into the marriage.

Even though what happened was the same thing, the reasons for their families to do so were the opposite.

Viona's marriage partner, Ethan was the only omega in their family. In a family where they despised omegas, he never had a peaceful life. His family wanted to get rid of him very soon, so they pushed him to Viona.

But Viona's mother wanted Viona to have a family. She had good intentions.

As things finally settled, they got married in a moment of blinking.

They couldn't even talk much. Viona didn't even know much about her husband. Not even about what he likes to eat.

That was a little messed up.

So Viona decided to talk with him and get along well, then later move to family matters.

Thankfully, Ethan was cooperative and agreed to her thoughts.

"Ethan, I think we need to know each other well. Things happened so fast that I couldn't even get to know you well. But now we are husband and wife."

After they arrived at their new house, Ethan and Viona sat down on the couch, awkwardly spending a few minutes in silence, then slowly paying attention to their partners.

Viona looked at the young man in front of her, kind of fascinated by the fact he was her omega, her husband.

He had an attractive face, as expected from an omega. He was not as tall as Viona, an alpha with a dominative physique. He was okay. For a person who had never been with an omega before, Viona was satisfied with her husband's looks and his polite behaviour.

She saw his eyes only staring at the ground, not daring to look at her. His eyes seem to be smiling, feeling free, yet stiff, when she was staring at him like a fool.

She suddenly felt like grinning. That omega gave her a very good feeling.

His sight looked comforting. She was glad that she didn't feel anything offensive when she was with him.

He was a good omega. She didn't regret marrying him.

She hoped they could get along well in the future.

Actually, after she realised finding a lover would take too much time, she felt bored about it, yet bragged as if it was her dream, in order to avoid marriage for the time being.

She didn't find anything bad about marriage. Still, she didn't want to get married.

The truth behind it was that she wasn't confident that she could be that perfect alpha wife in her husband's eyes one day. Maybe her mother knew her fear and forced her into this, so she would have no choice but to be that wife, learning step by step.

Her husband, Ethan and she had plenty of time to follow their lives, build their dream family, and become a lovely husband and wife.

She was looking forward to a good future.

"I got it. As you wish."

Every time Viona said something, Ethan would agree to them, erasing that awkward atmosphere and Viona's nervousness about being a good wife.

She smiled at him to show her gratitude, focusing back on the things they had to do first.

There was a pile of gifts for them to open. Before, it was always her parents that accompanied her to open them. But now, it was only her husband who was sitting on the side shyly.

The company didn't feel the same, because the person had changed. But with Ethan next to her, she got that feeling to be responsible, be mature and accompany that omega.

The alphas were the ones walk front when others were always behind them. That's why Ethan kept his mouth shut, agreeing to everything Viona said, following every instruction his alpha father gave him.

Still, Ethan couldn't help but notice the huge difference between Viona and his family's alphas.

Weren't alphas always rude?

Why did she look so friendly and comfortable to be around?

Why did she look happy watching him?

He couldn't understand.

Neither did she ask him to keep his distance, beat him, insult him, sneered at him, frown at the sight of him nor she even tried to show any resentment.

'Maybe because we haven't gotten much closer yet. That must be why she doesn't think I am disgusting. When time passes, she will also turn like them.'

His eyes filled with panic, observed the young woman who was smiling happily at the sight of gifts like a child.

'How could she smile like that? Does she really not hate keeping me around her?'

Only receiving curses and mistreatment from his father and brother, the only thing he understood was that he was disgusting and a burden anyone would wish to erase from the whole world.

His father never showed him any affection to him ever since his second gender was revealed as an omega. His father only wanted an alpha, not a weak omega craving for pleasure from an alpha.

It would have been better if he just ignored Ethan instead of beating and cursing him every day, whenever he wanted to vent his anger caused by someone.

Following his father's path, Ethan's younger brother who once used to be Ethan's only comfort, also started beating up Ethan and also becoming more abusive than his father which made Ethan fear his brother the most.

Ethan's life was a total mess. His high school life ended midway when his father refused to let him study more, making him that useless omega despite his hard work to impress his father at least once, so he would not curse at him anymore.

His father never understood the pain he was immersed in every day with their beatings and curses.

However, his father still taught him a few things at home.

Obey alphas, please them as they want, never go against them, don't expect them to love you and treat them like they are your god.

So, he did treat his father and brother like gods in his life, then entering this new house with the new alpha, that 'owned' him.

He hated alphas!

But never dared to hate them because he was scared.

Especially male alphas! He couldn't help his trembles when he encounter male alphas most of the time.

Maybe because Viona was a female alpha, Ethan could feel he was not as terrified as, he was terrified of his brother and father, the only alphas he knew.

His heart was relieved when he saw Viona's smile.

But deep in his heart, he remembered the most important thing.

'She is still an alpha. All the alphas are the same.'
