Captured

It was a day that is unfortunate for Luke Martin. He was subpoenaed earlier by the city police, in reference to the footage that was recorded near the Mills' residence. "A beautiful woman came to us yesterday and handed over an evidence pointing that it was you who entered the home of the Mills on the fifteenth of November." He had no other option but to go, at first he thought that he might escape, but knowing that it was a rich man who backed Cathy, it would not be easy for him to get away with it. He suddenly remembered what Vivian had told him over the phone, “You picked the wrong house!" It was definitely his fault, the only reason that they were roaming around is that they were looking for possible signs that Evan Mills might be somewhere near the vicinity, and they need to prevent him from going back to his family. Everything seemed alright at first. He knocked, and told the woman he wanted to know the whereabouts of her husband because he owed money. "I need to know where Mr. Mills is, if you get any chance, please tell him that Martin came to look for him. I really need the money he borrowed." He intentionally changed his name to prevent dangers. Jennifer let him in, offered a cup of coffee, and was undeniably a good host. His mission was to check if Evan was in, but he got conscious about a photo of the attractive lady he once saw in the supermarket. She was with Jennifer and Evan, the photo was taken about a few years ago and was on display on top of the book shelf a little behind the sofa in the living room. He started to ask more, which made her feel uncomfortable. She offered him to leave since Evan is not there, but he refused. Luke was determined to know how the three people in the photos are related. He also wanted to be sure that it was her, the lady he had been stalking a few months ago. Jennifer asked him to leave, and since Luke is a stubborn man who wants to get what he wants, he pushed her. She tried to fight back, but it didn't work. He is a tall guy and is too strong for a retiree. She grabbed the phone to call the police, and that was when Luke grabbed a vase on top of the side table and hit her head with it. She was left unconscious. At that very moment, Vivian was waiting in a car a block away, and Jon had just parked his car right in front of the house to take Cathy home from the company event. They heard her shout, and to his panic, Luke went to a bedroom and jumped out the window. He was lucky enough not to break a bone, went straight to the Ferrari and Vivian drove away. He lied to Vivian about what he did. He told her he was surprised to see his ex lover and jumped out the window to get away from the angry woman, and that was when she told him that he picked the wrong house. "You are stupid for thinking that way," she had said to him while in the car. "I gave you money to investigate about Evan, but you blew it."

His hands cuffed, an officer assisted him to get into a car heading to the police station. He silently thought, "Who could be the woman who handed the evidence? Was it Catherine?" Luke never stopped thinking about what recently happened, could it be Jon tracking him down, or Evan? After all, Jennifer is still his wife, he would not like it if he finds out. And Vivian, will no longer pay him if he tells the truth, he cannot spill it out. Not now, that a thousand dollars is at stake.
