A very humorous show!

Diva would have thought the only thing they would be doing when Fred said they would be going out, was sitting at a table for two, eating her now favorite meal, jollof rice and sipping drink. What she saw and experienced at the moment was beyond her imagination and expectation. Not only did she eat her meal with Fred adjacent her, she got to watch a show. A very humorous show!.

She held her stomach, hunching forward as she let out the boisterous laughter she had been locking in. Not for the seat belt restraint, she would have gone with her head colliding with the dashboard.

Fred was tempted to take a glimpse of Diva. Well, he had being doing it since they hit the road again, this time in the route of their Diva's home. Once in a while he would stir his eyes off the road to her and twice she had caught him, with the last time being the second she snagged his stare and now he hoped to do it without her finding out.

'Hahahaha'. He heard her cheerful voice and could not hold it anymore, letting his body decide for him.

Facing her, he saw her wiping her tears. Was she crying?. His face carried a hint a worry as he watched her closely. Was she in pains? But her face didn't show it. It was not contorted with a tight squeeze. She looked rather happy, no, happy was an understatement, she was cheerful. Like she was.....she was laughing. Yes, she was laughing.

He saw her rest her back on the seat, as she had stopped using her left hand to wipe her tears and was now using both hands to hold her stomach with her face, all smiles and giggling too. Diva was giggling. Was she really laughing? Was Diva really laughing?. Was he dreaming?. Was this real?.

'Fred, watch out!'. Diva's voice filled the car and Fred was compelled to remove his eyes from her and face the road again. The car had fallen off track and was now heading for the ditch. He could sense Diva's heartbeat skyrocketing and her breathing hastening. With his fast relaxes, he manoeuvred their car and got it back on road.

The car came back to the road again but this time, Fred slowed down to a halt at the side. Turning to look at Diva, he saw her in a state of panic. Her eyes had welled up again and her seat beat was let loose.

'Take a deep breath, Diva'. Fred released himself of his restraint and leaned to her side. He knew of all things, Diva was scared that she would die like her mother. An unprecedented, painful death. She had seen the car heading for the ditch. It was indeed frightening and as of the case of Diva, it could lead into a state of panic. He watched her running short of breath. His adrenaline shot up.

He opened his side of the door and rushed to her side. Pulling the door open, he started at patting her back and rubbing too.

More tears dripped down her face and Fred could feel his heart tightening. She was okay now but her tears had turned endless. It was like a river he could not dam.

'Diva, it's okay now. I was quick so it did not end up in an accident'. He was squatting at the edge of the road with a gutter behind him, but he did not mind. This was his cousin, Diva and he was not going to lose her to any panic issues. And besides he was holding his position just right.

He froze when she turned to face him. Anger and pain, guilt and fear intertwined in her eyes. He did not know he was holding his breath until she spoke.
