Chapter 12- Stolen Date

Soaked from head to toe, dripping in my gown. I made my way back to my room. Sylvia was left behind to clean up the mess I made on the way. Finally, back in my room, I hurried to find my sleepwear for the night. I laid them out on my bed as I began to peel my current outfit from my body. The wet fabric clung to me as if its life depended on it. After a while I finally managed to separate myself from the gown. I started to slide my top on when I caught a chill. Arms raised over my head in an attempt to dress without Sylvia, I was successfully stuck.

I struggled for a while before deciding to give up and wait for Sylvia to arrive to help me. I didn't have to wait long before I felt hands guiding my sleep gown down from around my arms and head.

"Thank you..." I began to say before turning and realizing it was not Sylvia who had helped me.

"You..." I managed to say in astonishment.

"You." He replied with his devilish smirk. His dark hair hung over his face. His dark eyes peeking through drinking in my appearance."

"You sly fox! What are you doing here?" I said as I took a step backward running into the foot of my bed.

"I came to pay you a little visit to claim what is rightfully mine." He said matter of fact.

"What's rightfully yours? Hmm, you really are that cocky. My impression of you was right!" I spat with certainty.

He took another step closer making me sit as I tried to back away. He then continued to come even closer.

"Now what are you getting at here sir? I think it's past time you make your exit."

"Not just yet, your majesty, I think we still have much to discuss." He said as he stood right in front of me. He knelt down in front of me in between my legs. I backed my way further until my back hit the headboard. He reached out with his long slender fingers and stroked my cheek placing my hair behind my pointed ears. He traced the edge of my ear before leaning in closer. I closed my eyes in anticipation for a kiss.

"Fanariel, you owe me, he said close to my ear, a date." He licked the outline of my ear before moving down my neck. He traced his way down to my collarbone leaving me paralyzed by the sparks he was creating on my skin.

He slid my nightgowns thin strap down my shoulder revealing more skin for him to tempt. My eyes closed and head leaned back in the full enthralling moment he had created between the two of us. I bit my bottom lip hard not daring to let a noise escape from me.

His licks and kisses came to a halt. He was staring into my eyes when I finally dared to open them. My skin still ignited.

"Don't hold back from me Fanariel." He said in his lust deepened voice. I could tell the desire for one another was affecting him too. He reached up with one finger to my lips and made me part them. He stuck his finger in my mouth, and I let him. I licked his finger with the tip of my tongue. He then removed his finger from my mouth and placed it in his all while not breaking the stare. I let out a small moan of desire. This made his eyes burn bright, real flames I saw flicker. Steam was literally coming from his skin.

"Are you okay?" I managed to whisper.

He smiled at me, "Am I okay? No, I am not Fanariel. You've teased me all day, played with me. You know as well as I do that the date was mine to win. Yet you gave it to someone else. All while giving me that cute little mischievous look of yours. You know how to drive a man mad Fanariel." He finished while looking down.

Did I really bother him that much with my playfulness? I thought he knew I was just joking around with him. My brows furrowed with worry for him.

He looked back up at me before releasing a low growl. "Even now you play with my heart so, just with a look." He touched the center where my brows meet making me relax my facial muscles.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I only meant to joke with you. Please forgive me." I said without thinking.

"Forgive you? How could I ever not forgive you? You had my heart from the moment I first laid eyes on you Fanariel. I vow to be by your side as long as you want me to be. To protect you and to love you from this day until my last." He took my hand and placed it to his chest. I felt his heart beating strong and fast. His breathing had picked up.

"My heart did not beat once in my life until the day I saw you. For my kind, that is how we know we have found our soulmate." He said with the deepest sincerity. In his eyes I saw all the hope and fear for what I could do to his future.

"What is your name?" I asked.

"Asmodeus, seventh prince of a place I'll tell you about another night. For now, I think I hear your lady in waiting approaching. Until then my queen." He said as he gave my lips a whisper of a kiss.

Just like that he had disappeared, and just like that my heart was tied back in knots on the decisions I had to make. So many men's lives were at my fingertips. I didn't want to hurt any of them but only protect and love them all. But was my heart even big enough to do that?

I must sleep and think about this another time. I still had yet to meet so many others.
