CHAPTER 27

I fell on the floor while holding my cheek. He pulled me up by my hair

"Listen to me. We're made a deal, and I'm not giving your father what he wants if you don't behave. So, if you love your father, do as I say, okay?" he asked, literally spitting in my face

"Well, I don't love him, so get off me," I told him

"That's your business. I'm getting what I want"

The minutes were filled with us struggling, but since he was obviously stronger, he had managed to pin him under me. He kept me, still struggling, under him, while he worked with his belt. I tried not to look, as I continued struggling

I refused to either give up or beg him

He was about to fully descend when the door busted opened

Relieved tears flooded my eyes

"Mom? Edward?" I asked

"If you don't get yourself away from my daughter, I'm going to cut that rubbish and deep fry it," my mom said

She was fuming

My thirteen years brother stalked forward, anger clearly oozing from him. He kicked him right in the stomach and pushed him away before he could fall on me since he was still on top of me. He dealt with him, I don't know-how, while my mom rushed over to me

Once she held me, I full out cried. I don't know for how long, I just cried. I cried till I blacked out

After I finished, no was spoke for a while

"What happened after?" Aiden then asked

"Nothing" I stated

"Nothing?" he asked as he pulled me away to look at me

"Since he was a chairman of a well-known company and had money that could last his three generations. He also made a bargain with my dad, again " I said

"For him testifying that he just had to return home to get his phone because it was important for a business they were planning, he became a director"

"What of your mom?"

"If she had talked, I and my brother wouldn't be with her today. She would have had to let the court decide who would be in the custody of us, and since her husband had someone powerful behind him, she knew she would be fighting a lost battle. So she just settled for divorce"

I laughed bitterly

"After all these years, he shows up. To make it worse, it's as Kim's, someone as dear to me as a sister, father"

I grabbed my hair

"Why in... why in the world is he always trying to ruin my life. Our life"

"Did he also see you?" Aiden asked

I nodded

"But, I don't think he recognized me"

That thought somehow made me angry. I released the hair I was holding

"Can you imagine that? After everything that jerk did to me, he didn't even recognize me. He even had the guts to stretch out his hand for a handshake. I should have just cut his wrist with a scalpel"

"That's more like you," he said

I glared at him before I completely went away from his embrace to sit properly

After thinking for a while, I sighed

"I don't think your brain is capable of thinking of something to the extent that you're sighing," Aiden said

I was about to glare at him before glass came to my face. I looked up and saw him holding a glass

He must have gotten up at some time

I gave him a questioning look

"Do you want the drink to pour down your throat or your clothes?" he asked

"You just have to always be a jerk, right?" I asked as I took the cup

He shrugged as he sat down

"So, what are you planning on doing now?" he asked

"I don't know" I replied

Then I turned to look at him and was about to talk before he interrupted me

"Kidnap him. Kill him. Make him suffer by playing childish jokes. If you're having thought like this, flush your head" he said

I breathe a laugh

"Wh... What are you saying? Am I a child?" I asked

He raised an eyebrow

"Maybe just a little? Tiny weeny" I said using my thumb and forefinger to demonstrate

He shook his head

I smiled a bit, then fell into the silence

"You have other people. Why did you come to me instead?" he asked

I shrugged

"I don't know. All I know is that in between all that panic and tears, I just thought I had to go to you"

I looked at him and smiled

"And I was right"

I might not have gotten clear of him, but I felt better

"Another first," he said as he relaxed on the chair, and sipped his drink with his legs crossed

"But, you unbelievably annoy me"

"That's not surprising," he said

I scrunched my face at him even though he wasn't looking at me

"What am I going to do about my mom?" I asked

"They may not meet," he said

"I know, but what if. I might have been the victim, but my mom also suffered because of him. If she sees him again, especially with the title he has"

I cut myself to keep the tears at bay

"I don't know, but she sure is lucky she has a daughter like you," he said

I looked at him, but he wasn't looking at me

"You're strong"

"I don't think, it's a fact," he said

I smiled

"Really? I mean, I know I have a lot of amazing traits, but..."

"Do you want me to kick you out?" he asked, stopping me

Instead of talking back, I laughed

"If we delete your annoying parts, you can actually be cute," I said

His head immediately turned to me, his eyes glaring at me

That was a bad move

"Thattt's what I and my brother usually say to each other," I said

We might not have said it to each other's face though

I went back to my drink, ignoring his gaze

"I still can't get it," he said

"What?"

"How could you compare me to him?" he asked

I raised a questioning glance before I got what he was talking about

"Ah, that"

"Yes that"

"Well, you were a jerk, and I just said it in the duration of the moment" I defended

"Unbelievable," he said

"I know, right?" I told him

I couldn't go back to school, even though I don't, so I just stayed with him. The two of us talked about random things which surprised me, seeing that he was Aiden and the reason I came here in the first place

I looked at the time and got up

"Thank you so much for today, Aiden," I said and walked to the door

He held my hand stopping me

"Are you just going to go?" he asked

"Uhm, bye?"

"I don't know the way to your house. You have to lead me there" he said

"Why would you want to come to my house? You jerk if you think that you can have your way with me just... Ah!"

"Why in the world did you flick my head?" I asked him

"To shut you up"

I gasped

"To shut me up? You're the one who..."

"Should I flick your head once more?" he asked

"Don't you dare" I told him

"Why do you think I want to come to your house?"

"How am I supposed to know what you're thinking?"

"You have a bad memory. How else are we going to continue our project then?"

I opened my mouth to say a silent 'ah'

He hooked his head

"Let go. I have to pack from my house first" he said and we headed towards his house for him to pack his things before I lead him to my hose which wasn't far with a car
