Mutual Feeling

Daniel still remembered the shocked look on Anna and Brian’s faces when he opened the door.

Anna even apologised for interrupting and volunteered to leave but Daniel stopped her. He was staying over because he didn’t want Emma to be alone.

Even after they entered the house, Anna seemed very uncomfortable while Brian had a huge grin on his face.

When Daniel proposed to leave, she stopped him saying it would be best if he stayed over as it was already very late. She also added saying that Emma would like it if he was there when she woke up.

Contemplating for a while, he decided to stay over for the night. He also asked Anna to help Emma change into something comfortable.

“Oh—” When Emma lowered her head, Daniel asked, “Are you disappointed?”

“Huh?”

“Are you disappointed because it was not me who helped you change last night?”

“W-What? No, I just thought—” She stopped midway and frowned when he started laughing.
