"Sure, I'll call him." Emma took out her phone. "He told me to call him when you wake up."

After informing Brian, she looked at Anna who was now lost in her own thoughts.

"Is something wrong? Are you not feeling well?" Emma placed her hand on hers. "Is something bothering you?"

Anna shook her head.

"No, it's just—" she sighed. "I am just thinking about what would have happened if Brian hadn't come on time or worse, if it would have been you instead of me."

The thought of those men hurting Emma frightened her. The mere thought of it freaked her out.

"Hey—" Emma gently caressed the back of her hand. "You don't have to act tough in front of me, Anna. We don't have to pretend in front of each other."

"N-No, it's not like that." Anna grabbed her head and sighed. "I am just trying to process everything that happened. It's very weird and scary."

"I know but don't worry. I am sure the police will catch the culprit soon," Emma tried to console.
