14 Devil's Plan

Yang Feng was standing with the soldiers waiting for the Prince to come back.

"Master Feng!" One of the soldiers called out to him, "A soldier from the palace came with a message."

He turned his head towards him and nodded his head as he ordered, "Let him come here."

With that a soldier stepped forward towards Yang Feng. As soon as he came towards him he bent his head with respect, "Master Feng!"

Yang Feng nodded his head and then the soldier started speaking, "I have bought a message from the palace, Your highness' aunt is here. She is waiting for the Prince."

"I will notify him."

With that Yang Feng went towards the same direction where Wen Ting Hua went some time ago. He continued walking in the direct when he saw him standing at a distance lost in his thoughts.

Yang Feng approached him more and when he was just a little distance away from him he bent down his head a little and then said in a loud voice so that Wen Ting Hua could hear it, "Your highness!"

Wen Ting Hua came out of his thoughts and turned around a little.

"A message from the palace came. Your aunt is here. She is waiting for you in the palace."

Wen Ting Hua stood there for some seconds more before he finally turned around and said, "Let's go then!"

Both went away from there then and towards the soldiers. Soon they left for the palace.

Palace of Tianqing….

Wen Ting Hua arrived at the palace and went straight to his aunt's room.

As soon as Princess Xiao Chen saw him she opened her arms. Wen Ting Hua hurriedly walked towards her and hugged her back.

"I missed you." He had his eyes closed as he hugged his aunt hard.

"I missed you too, my child. That's why when the emperor brother said he was going to send you an order I decided to visit you myself." She said as she pulled back a little.

"Come let's sit."

They both went towards the broad red wood chairs and sat on it. Princess Xiao Chen was a gentle lady yet a sharp minded princess. She was the sister of the king of Saint Hua land.

Wearning a long white Hanfu dress, she had long wide sleeves with the top hugging her body perfectly, a small bow hung on her waist.

She had a small half bun with a jade stick in it representing the Hua kingdom with her rest hair open adding more grace to her beauty.

"So what message did you bring?"

"Emperor brother had made a decision. He is going to send you to Qixian. Some people there are gathering an army in private, they are making a plan to rebel. Emperor wants you to go there and find out who they are and finish them all." Xiao Chen explained him every thing in a polite manner.

Wen Ting Hua narrowed his eyes at this,"Why me? Wasn't he going to send my elder brother there?"

He was suspicious of the sudden change in the order. The Empress wasn't the real mother of Wen Ting Hua, she was the real mother of his elder brother.

Emperor had many concubines and consorts in the palace, Wen Ting Hua's mother was the third consort of the emperor who died while giving birth to Wen Ting Hua.

He was brought up by his aunt, Princess Xiao Chen. She took care of him like her own child.

Seeing the worriedness on Wen Ting Hua's face she smiled a little.

"Don't worry my child. I was the one who suggested emperor to give you a chance. Empress wanted to send your elder brother but I made the emperor's right hand man to suggest your name for this task."

"Thank you!" Wen Ting Hua's face softened, "I will start preparing for it from today and will set out within this week."

"This task will be very important for you and will help you to move a step closer to the throne." She further explained.

"How so?" He raised his eyebrows, "Don't you see he is testing you all to see who among you deserve the throne."

"Don't worry aunt. I will make sure to complete this task carefully." Wen Ting Hua assured her.

He knew his aunt would always be there in the palace making things easy for him. Wen Ting Hua too loved her very much and respected her like a mother. Only she was the one he could put his trust on.

"Good! The empress will never want you to complete this task. I did some investigating before coming here. She has sent some slaves to your palace to keep an eye on you."

He narrowed his eyes at this, "She is planning something again?"

"She will try her best to stop you from going there or try making things hard for you, that's why I am telling you to be as careful as you can and for the time being I will try to find those slaves in your palace sent by her. But just be careful."

"I will be, don't worry." Wen Ting Hua stopped for sometime before saying, "By the way how long are you going to stay here?"

"I will be here taking care of your palace until you are back." She caressed his back like a mother would do. After his mother died only his aunt looked out for him like a mother in the palace. Everyone else tried their best to Kill him. She always protected him and gave him love like no other in that palace.

"Then I hope you will look after the palace while I am gone."

She nodded her head with a smile on her face, assuring him not to be worried.

He got up as he said, "You must be tired after that journey, you should rest. I will start preparing to go for now."

She nodded her head with a smile and Wen Ting Hua finally left from there.....
