CHAPTER 99

Skai's breathing hitched. It felt as though her blood boiled as her face and body heated up instantly.

'He's… He's coming up.' 

Alarmed, Skai immediately ended the call, and grabbed her bag from her desk with her free hand. 

She took a glance around, ensuring things were okay before dashing out of her office and locking the door behind her.

Ignoring the questioning stares sent her way, Skai dashed out of her office with no thought in mind and raced towards the hallway. 

Her goal — stop Jared Drake before he ventures into her office. 

The last time she got many important men filing into her workspace, several gossip filled the air. She did not plan on having a repeat of such this time around.

Who knows the eyes and ears Damien Raphael had in her department especially now when she refused his job offer.
