69 Threatened

CHAPTER 69

Bam!

Jared shut the door of the passenger's seat and turned his attention to Stephen. "Please ensure she arrives home safely," Jared informed Stephen. He couldn't think of anyone better than his butler to do the job. 

"Yes, Master Jared."

Jared nodded. He walked closer to Skai's door and waved at her. She returned his faintly before thanking him. 

"Thanks for saving me."

"Don't mention. I'd do it again and again."

"I hope I do not get in much danger to have you risk your life," she countered. 

"For you, any danger is worth it, Skai. Take care. I'll call you when you get home."

"Alright."

He bid them farewell and took a few steps back to allow them to drive off. 

The car roared to life and drove out of the big compound. Once the gate closed behind them Jared fetched his phone from his pocket. A few taps in and he was on a call with someone.
