~Hotel~

When Kairav got to his hotel room, a deep growl tore through his lips as his eyes flashed a menacing red. 

"Skai Jayden, just who are you?" 

Just then, a familiar buzz vibrated in his pocket, momentarily shattering the simmering rage. He fished out his phone, the screen illuminating his face in a cool, blue light.

The moment his eyes locked on the caller ID, his features softened, morphing from stormy to serene in an instant. A ghost of a smile played on his lips as he answered the call.

"Ah, Diva. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

"You came around today," her voice came off clipped. "Why? We only meet outside. What if my husband had…"

"He didn't," Kairav cut in sharply. His mood was sore once again. He hated how people told him what he could and could not do. 

"That's all that matters. Besides, I wanted to surprise you."
