"Hello Skai, how are you doing?"

Skai blinked when she read Jared's text message.

While she spent time with her friends during the day, she could not shake the feeling that something else was about to happen — something wrong. 

Even after her friends left, she refused to dwell on that strange feeling and tried to look at the bright side of things but that failed. 

Damien and Jared's identities were still a big puzzle she was trying to accept and process in her head. 

What more could there be?

Skai bit her lower lip. Was it that there were others like them?

'Wait. Meaning I must have vampires and demons surrounding me. Oh dear Lord!' 

Her thoughts were beginning to run a mile with every passing minute and it was becoming hard for her to focus. 

'I should respond to his text.'
