CHAPTER 80

"Which friend?" Ethan's deep voice cut in, asking? "Jared?"

Unknown to Skai, even though she removed the phone from the speaker, Jared and Damien had a front-row seat listening to her conversation thanks to their sensitive ears. 

Jared frowned when his name was mentioned that way. What was bad if he was the one?

Skai took a deep breath. She almost forgot that Ethan knew Jared. "Yes."

"I see." Ethan's voice came off low. "Wait, what is he doing there at this time? Skai can you trust him?" He rushed out.

Damien held the need to chuckle at Ethan's mistrust of Jared but did not want to alert Skai of their eavesdropping. His actions had only earned a scowl from the latter who tucked his hands in his trouser pocket.

Still, judging from what Ethan said, Damien understood that meant Craig spoke of Ethan earlier and not Jared.
