CHAPTER 96

Skai's breath hitched. The woman's possessiveness left no room for doubt that she was Kairav's woman. 

However, Kairav's reaction was unexpected. His smile faltered, and his grip tightened on the woman's wrist. A flicker of annoyance crossed his features.

"Selene, what are you doing here?" 

Selene seemed unfazed by Kairav's frosty reception and sashayed past him as she sank gracefully into the empty seat at his left.

"Didn't want you to be lonely without me," she purred, batting her eyelashes at him playfully. 

A heavy gold bracelet adorned her wrist, glinting under the soft light as it brushed against Kairav's hand dismissively.

Skai watched the exchange, her curiosity left her wondering about the true nature of their relationship. 

Kairav, however, didn't return Selene's playful gaze. His jaw remained clenched, his grip on her wrist tightening ever so slightly.
