27 Jealous Han Eu-meh

************

After Lu Aotian had put Han Eu-meh straight, they carried out their meeting without any interruptions.

Han Eu-meh stood by the side, watching with vile eyes as Mei Xing moved around with Lu Aotian, making her points. To say she was angry would be an understatement.

"So, that will do for now. I will contact you if there is anything else," Mei Xing spoke with finality.

Dipping his hands into his pockets, Lu Aotian nodded. "I will wait for your call. Thank you. Let me see you out," he offered.

"Oh you don't have to," Mei Xing politely turned him down and gestured her head to Han Eu-meh. "Your guest has been waiting. I wouldn't want to delay you both any longer."

Lu Aotian's eyes trailed towards the 'guest' and sighed a nod. "Alright then. Thank you for your time."

"Likewise. Have a good day, Mr Lu." With that said, Mei Xing took her leave, bidding Ruolan goodbye on her way out.

As soon as she got into the elevator and the door slid closed, he turned to Han Eu-meh who was now pouting.

"I have little to no time to entertain you, Han Eu-meh," he said as made his way to his office. He left the door open knowing she would follow. "But I will spare you a few minutes to say what you want."

Han Eu-meh huffed. "First of all, why are you so formal with me? We've known each other since we were in diapers."

Seeing as Lu Aotian just stared at her, she sighed and moved on to her purpose of visit.

"I came to see you since you weren't at the mansion when I visited. Again. Also, I brought you lunch. I doubt you've had a proper meal since you are so busy," she held up the lunch bag she brought for him.

Lu Aotian nodded and pulled himself closer to his desk. "Welcome back and thank you for bringing lunch. You can leave it on the desk. I have a meeting to attend."

To prove his words, a knock came in and the head of his assistant popped out from behind the door. "Sir, the board is present. They're asking for you."

Lu Aotian stood and took off his coat hanging on his chair. Putting it on as he walked out, he said, "Have a nice day, Han Eu-meh."

The door clicked shut, reminding the person in the room that she was alone. Han Eu-meh scoffed, her eyes trained on the chair Lu Aotian sat on just a few seconds ago.

"He didn't even look at what I prepared for him."

~At the Lu mansion~

Mrs Lu was busy tending to her small garden beside the house when Han Eu-meh arrived. The loud clicking of her heels against the tiled floor was a tell tale of her bad mood.

"Aunty Lu," Han Eu-meh called as she strolled into the kitchen like she owned the place.

She took out a bottle of water from the refrigerator and a glass cup to pour in. Taking a quick drink from the content she poured into the glass, she walked straight to the garden.

And just as she had guessed, Mrs Lu was busy humming a tune probably to the song playing into her ears from the pods in them.

Han Eu-meh sighed and stood very close to the woman, making her aware of her presence.

Mrs Lu took out the earliest from her ears and smiled at Han Eu-meh. "Sweetie, you came back quickly," she noted.

"Apparently, I had to," Han Eu-meh grumbled out.

"How did it go then? Did he like the food you made?" Mrs Lu asked, oblivious of Han Eu-meh's frustration.

"Aunty, Aotian wasn't nice to me when I went to the office. He didn't even give me a proper welcome," Han Eu-meh complained.

Mrs Lu's brows pulled together and then relaxed once more. "Oh dear, it must be because of the stress from work."

"Is it? It seems more to me like he had his attention too set on that woman," she revealed as her arms crossed underneath her breasts.

Hearing that, Mrs Lu's interest heightened. "What woman?" She asked.

"I don't know her but Aotian was too bewitched by her to even spare me a proper glance," she answered.

"Bewitched? That's very unlike my boy. Are you sure, sweetie?"

"Yes. She had all his attention. And you should have seen the way she walked about in the office as if she ran the place. She even had this haughty behavior she wore while I was there," Han Eu-meh rambled on about Mei Xing.

"Is that so?" Mrs Lu was shocked about the details.

"Yes. And Aotian even shouted at me. We were not even alone. He did it in from of his employee, who tried to stop me from seeing him and that woman," Han Eu-meh continued, pouring out her frustration in the process. Mrs Lu gasped at that.

"And I can understand if I was in the wrong for coming without telling him. But it is not my fault he refused to take my calls, is it?"

"Of course not, dear. It was a harmless thing you did," Mrs Lu gently patted her back.

"Tell that to him. What was more humiliating was when I brought up a suggestion for his office remodeling. Aotian shut me down saying to the woman, his architect's decision was the one he trusted. Then he said we weren't in a nail salon," she wiped her nonexistent tears.

Mrs Lu's chord of sympathy was stroked by Han Eu-meh's act. "Don't be sad, sweetie. I will have a word with him." She promised.

Slowly pulling away from Mrs Lu, Han Eu-meh opened her phone and dailed Lu Aotian's number.

The call rang and rang but there was no response from him. She called again and still no change.

"See. Aotian is giving me cold shoulders and I haven't done anything to deserve it."

"Don't worry. I'll will talk to him. I'm his mother, he will listen to me," Mrs Lu assured her.
