Breakfast

"Good morning",.....

I decide a general greeting is a better way to set the tone than to give in to my mother's comment.

' morning honey ' my dad says lifting his head to watch me move across the hall to my seat.. his eyes conveying to me he is not happy about my lateness to our family time aka breakfast.... Finally pulling a seat across my big sister I finally settle.

Everyone has their eyes on me, my dad, mom,my two big brothers and their wives and finally my sister. I am really not sure what I missed but there really seems to be this weird and unspoken buzz in the hall but I decide to ignore it .. I mean I am the baby of the family at 19 i really do not think they are going to involve me in any official business.

The patriarch of the Milton family quietly but sharply scans the room with his hard eyes, no one ever knows what he is thinking or what really goes through his head but after a quick scan across the room he officially calls for breakfast to begin, the chefs have the dishes prepared, the servants plate them and set them on trays, put them on food trolleys and bring then to the dining hall . They quickly and efficiently set the table and leave the family to eat.

After 40 minutes breakfast is done, the servants are alerted and the dining table is cleared.

'Mm mm' a throat is cleared loudly in the dining room and all eyes turn to the owner of the noise.. the patriarch.. ' As you all know our family recently closed a business deal in the hotel sector of our business with the Knocks family. It is a 300 million dollar joint venture and we are looking forward to making in profits in the multi millions after building,expansion and official business opening. This is a huge endeavor and a lot of money, time and effort is going to be inserted i hope we are all able to do our jobs dutifully to ensure success.'
