DEFEND AND PROTECT

When we finally made it down to the common dining room, I caught my mom with a cheeky grin as she waved us over.

My dad wasn't around so I assumed he was at training, probably avoiding the thought that his daughter had a lot of sex last night.

"Good morning, Luna." Jason said as he bowed his head slightly to show respect.

"Please, Jason, you are family." My mom said as she shook her head and gestured for us to sit next to her. "I would love it if you could call me mom, but if that's asking too much then Alianna will have to do. You two are already practically married at this point."

'She isn't wrong.' I heard Jason tell me through our mindlink. It seemed he already sensed that I was about to be embarrassed with my mother's words. 'I was thinking, what if we got married after your luna ceremony?'

'That's a very romantic way to ask.' I said with a chuckle as I shook my head, taking my seat next to my mother.
