DEBATES

"My proposal is this," I heard my father say in a powerful voice, one I had never heard him use. "We will build an inter-species task force to monitor all the activities in the area that may be suspicious."

"That's all you have? Observation?" Alpha Robert said as he stood up and slammed the table.

"Alpha Robert, we barely know anything about the situation, this is for the best." Jason, who was seated next to me, told Alpha Robert.

Alpha Robert glared at Jason, it seemed he wanted to tell my mate something but held back.

I was surprised when Alpha Cain started to laugh and shake his head.

"The only reason you are siding with the old man is because you're mated to his daughter." Alpha Cain accused. "We have all heard how you are a man of action, Alpha Jason. You must be trying so hard to get on your father-in-law's goodside."

Without noticing my actions I slammed my palm on the table, creating a significant dent on the ancient wood.
