57 Stupidity

Brittany groaned slightly as her eyes slowly opened. It felt like her head was being hit with something hard and the splitting headache caused her senses to infiltrate through her ears and spill onto the ground.

All she saw was darkness but as her blurred vision got clearer, she noticed some spot of light. 

"She's awake! She's awake." She heard someone say in an anxious but excited voice. 

"HUH?" She held onto her head. "Barton? Is that you?" 

Soon, she felt arms wound around her body and she was pulled into someone's arms. 

"Take her back to the vehicle. Barton and I will search the area. Naomi might be close. You'll stay with Brittany and make sure she's okay."

"Sure. Just…be careful."

As the two boys make their way into the deeper part of the woods, Talia effortless carried Brittany into the car.
